Panthers were probably the weakest team in the east that year and had tons of ot losses but won the south least division and got 3rd seed. That series probably would have been a cake walk for any team in the east playoffs except the devils, panthers gave then trouble all year. Versteeg was like prime gretzky when he played the devils that year.
