  1. Leafs signed Woll. May be Linus declined to go to Toronto. What's the difference in cap between the two? I got the impression Linus didn't wantToronto as a destination when he appeared on Leafs Talk with Jay Rosehill and Nick Alberga.

  2. I don't get Boston. So bound & determined to trade the reigning Vezina winner & for what? A horrific goalie who's on term @ 3 million & a late pick in a weak weak draft.

  3. What Ullmark for a first rounder? Boston must be really desperate to sell, this deal is ridiculous

  4. Will Ulmark perform as well without the defence of Boston in front of him?It should be interesting this coming season in Ottawa.

  5. The only issue is you get him for one year – no guarantees he extends. If he signs, great move. If he doesn’t, yikes – this doesn’t ensure a playoff birth, not in that division

  6. Is Ullmark any better than Korpisolo? The Bruins were one of the best teams defensively while the Senators were one of the worst. Unless Ottawa improves their defense, Ullmark won't make much of a difference.

  7. It's a really good trade for Ottawa but only IF they resign him. For the Bruins I have no idea what they were thinking here, they downgrade their backup goalie with more term and get very little back beyond that, little bit of cap space as well.

  8. Bruins dont get cap relief, they get a minor level G and C…and a late 1st?!?!?! What a joke 😅 Just start the short twrm rebuild already before cap jail is much longer

  9. Is Button on drugs?? Sens D's improved? How much was he paid for that comment? Aside from Sandy our D was horrific. If you watched any of the playoffs you would know what a good defensive team should look like. Getting Ullmark was a great trade and that will certainly help but unless we see major changes with our D, playoffs will be a long ways away.

  10. Glad Leafs didnt go after him. They dont like solid playoff goaltending . They like flashy forwards that sell merchandise

  11. As a Leafs fan, this is something I rarely hear discussed. Teams in recent past that have been bad are improving. The Sens, Wings, possibly MTL maybe sabres are getting better and closing in on Leafs. I love the team thr Sens are building. Did they lose a ton last year yes but they are building a solid core at the right positions and I think they can start to make a playoff push

  12. They weren’t trading vezina Ulmark of a season ago, they were trading this season version of ulmark…the guy they lost confidence in to even play in the playoffs, the guy on an expiring contract…they might not have been able to get a top Center for him??
Just watch, Korpi will put up good numbers in Boston, similar to ulmark’s.

  13. nope Ottawa loses this deal..its a massive overpay giving a 1st rounder for a 1 year rental

  14. Sometimes you hava to wait a few years to determine who got the better of the trade. I am a Bruins fan but never a fan of Ulmark who always put up good numbers in regular season but not in the playoffs.
Korpasolo could be a good second goalie, Kostalic is only 25, big centre, good in faceoffs and not afraid to drop the gloves. We needed a guy like that. The key will be 1st round pick. Who will be remaining at 24th spot ? Maybe in 2 years we will look back and remember that we drafter a first line player for Ulmark and we will say we did well in that trade.

  15. Linus wanted to play East, closer to get a flight to sweden. That is something i heard. Make sence he turned down LA for that reason

  16. Bostons strong d made him look better than he actually is. Fans think they'll be getting the goalie he was in Boston, but they're going to get the consistent over 3.00 gaa and under .900 save% he would get right up to the year he signed with Boston. Even of he does do good he isn't extending with Ottawa, next off-season he'll test free agency
