Bennetts line certainly passed the eye test in game 7. They were physical, generated chances, and kept the oilers top centres from dominating play. I’m sure Tkachuk will be ruminating over that stat line when he’s hanging out with the cup this summer.

They’re upset chucky won a SC before Mcbaby. The bottom line is the Oilers were lucky they didn’t get swept – okoposo said as much in the after game interview, once they got up 3-0 they thought they had it in the bag – last night the Panthers just got back to playing Panthers hockey – the cats were the best team in the POs by far and had a much harder path to the finals than the Oilers and still prevailed, give credit where credit is due.

The thing about a cup win is that all players need to contribute at some point in the post season, some have better contributions in certain series than others, but narrowing the stat line to one matchup is unfair and misleading. Oilers PR needs to take the high road and keep their mouth shout regarding calling out Florida player performance.
