He apparently *shopped* Willy and throughout the process was still was very clear he’s been working out a deal.
The vibes definitely point to he’s trying to trade Marner.

He’s right. Whatever they end up doing they can’t let the “noise” from the media or fans affect them. The FO has all the facts, they know what they’re trying to do. They need to just work and forget about what anybody else is saying.
Kypreos on the radio said today that Berube loves Marner, is excited to coach him, and doesn’t want him traded.
I think they are trying to trade Marner, but I don’t think they’ll be able to. The teams that have the pieces and/or cap space to give up, he wont go to, and the teams he’ll waive for, probably want to get him for their crappy contracts and a mediocre prospect.

I can see Marner hoping for one last hurrah with the Leafs and making a real push in the playoffs and maybe that will change managements mind. I don’t think he actually wants to go despite all the shit he gets.
I think we can all agree Mitch is a great player, but it’s best for the player and the team to move on.
