Je pense qu’il est toujours bon d’avoir des perspectives différentes. Auteurs ~Sean Gentille~ et ~Maison Luszczyszyn~ ~sont très analytiques et je pense pour la plupart impartiaux. En lisant les articles dans leur ensemble, cela montre à quel point la saison dernière a été spéciale et à quel point c’était vraiment une grande demande. Que vous soyez d’accord ou non, gardez cela à l’esprit pendant qu’Yzerman construit sa liste d’été. La plupart des gens sont devenus fous hier à propos de l’échange de Walman, mais dans ce cas, soit Yzerman a été emmené chez le nettoyeur (ce qui n’a pas été le cas historiquement), soit Walman n’était tout simplement pas si bon du point de vue de la ligue. I mean it’s tough to give us good ranking when the guys we are gonna Key on are still in the AHL or haven’t played more than 20 games.
Edvinsson will obviously shock these clowns seeing how they failed to mention him also johansson who both guys are better than Walman in my humble opinion.

None of this is surprising and it emphasizes that player development needs to take some serious leaps over the next couple seasons if the Wings want to be on the top 1/2 of these lists.
I think this is a pretty valid evaluation. To everyone’s disappointment it doesn’t make any sense to pull in another center with the depth we currently have. I have no doubt we add another winger to the top 6, Kane or someone adequate would move that score up.
As for goaltending and defense, it’s looking a bit messy right now. We’re clearly working on something and its humored Stevie is acquiring about every decent goaltender. This evaluation is probably a month too early.
Wow a developing team is still developing….. They say that stuff like there is zero hope of it improving despite having a pretty strong prospect pool. Yzerman made the deals he made in order to build a winning mindset and nothing more. Copp is also a fine 3rd center. Overpaid yes but he isnt a below average 3rd line center.

No lies detected. We knew that our improvement would come from within this offseason and next. Edvinsson, Johansson, Kasper, Danielson, and Mazur are going to get their chances. Lets hope two or three of them can make an impact this season.
Did they say anything about coaching? Or are we to read into it that Lalonde over performed based on the other ratings?
Also, is this based on who is signed up so far for the coming season? I’d imagine a few additions could significantly boost some of these positional categories.
100% agree with these takes on our goalies, centers and defense for sure. Our wingers are tbd imo as we don’t even have half of our necessary wingers signed yet.
We have Mo. We don’t know what we truly have in Eddy and Alby. And then we have a bunch of 5th/6th/7th dmen. Goaltending we all know is an issue.
I think Larkin, Compher, and Veleno are all average to very slightly above average. Copp is maybe a 3rd line winger, certainly not a center.
This about sums up how I feel about the team. It kills me to hear local media rip Yzerman and how long it’s taking with the rebuild, and how we should be in the playoffs by now. Steve has only been here 5 years and 2 of his 1st rounders are already top players any team would want. The others are on the way, not all of them can be instant Raymond, hot and ready before you know it. He didn’t walk into a situation with a lot of high value assets, making building a roster through the draft the only option. It’s going to pay off.

That all seems fair. I expect a lot of those holes to be filled with prospects in the next 2-3 years.
None of this should be surprising. To this point, the only two players that Yzerman has drafted who have contributed are Mo and Raymond. There is a lot more on the way, but that’s been it so far. So yeah, spoiler alert that isn’t a spoiler, we have a pretty weak roster. In a totally related development, we have the second strongest prospect pool in the league.

I get there’s work to be done, but ranking a bubble team (and actual playoff team if not for loser points) basically last in the whole league is completely idiotic

The goaltending and defense are not at all surprising, almost everyone in both groups is a stop gap until guys like Johansson, Wallinder, ASP, Cossa, Augustine are ready. Bottom 5 honestly seems mostly reasonable
Wingers they seem a little lower on than I am, especially given how much scoring we did this year
Centers they almost seem more generous than I’d expect, but we do at least have 4 NHL caliber centers on roster and a handful of other guys who can play center in a pinch so maybe that’s enough for middle of the pack
