Mikheyev is about to enter his second season removed from an ACL injury. It’s a great trade for Chicago. Immediately slots in as a top 6 winger too
Shocked KD got Van to use a retention slot for two years on 15% lol
However likely it is or isn’t, if Mikheyev can rebound a bit to prior form, I think this ends up being a good trade.
Bringing in a guy who gets scratched and called out publicly by his coach during the playoffs all to get a 2027 late 2nd round pick is hilarious.

Probably a good move to have a veteran Russian player around for our soon to be Russian or Belarusian 2nd overall pick.
Worst case scenario he sits in the press box. I’m curious if they try to sign Lafferty or not (thinking probably yes as he replaces Colin Blackwell nicely and has possible upside come trade deadline)
