@Red Wings de Détroit

Chicago prospects looking to fill our nets with pucks

  2. Balance47x

    Red Wings legend Patrick Kane

    Blackhawks legend Ken Holland

“Ken Holland” and “building new dynasty” shouldn’t be used in the same sentence

  4. bestprocrastinator

Nobody is better at inheriting generational talent then Holland!

  5. PretendAd6519

Kenny is legitimately only good at being a gm when he’s with a contending team that needs to buy.

His nurse contract isn’t great, but signing nuge to his deal and bringing in Henrique and ekholm were great moves.

I thought when he left the wings he would ride EDM into “retirement” since it was close to his family. I guess he’s not done

  7. MonsieurAK

Thought he’d get a cup easily with Connor. Now he’s trying the next Connor. SAD!

  8. big_phat_gator

He refused a very similar position in Detroit so why take it in Chicago? I dont really get it.

  9. Glad he’s going to a team I already hate and I can now root for McDavid to my heart’s content.

  10. Holland isn’t really a builder. He just re-signs his own guys to exorbitant contracts. See who the Wings had in their front office during his tenure here.

He goes to Edmonton with 2 of the best in the league and re-signs Nurse, Jack Campbell, RNH to way to long/expensive deals.

The Wings are still paying Abby’s buyout.

#UPDATE: [Zawaski] A high-ranking Blackhawks source tells me there is no truth to this, adding that the rumor is “bizarre.”

    Post flair changed to “rumour”.

Come on dude. You’re going on 70 and have multiple rings and a bank account worth millions, just tetire already and enjoy the last 10-15 years of your life while you can.

  13. SaltyPickle1495

You don’t want Ken holland trying to build your team lmao

  14. Holland gonna Holland. The guy can’t build a team and keeps worming his way into teams that he thinks has « franchise » players.

CHI isn’t the Red Wings and they aren’t the Oilers. Holland trying to build a team out of that mess is gonna be fucking hilarious to see.

  15. facforlife

    Fucking Ken Holland man.

He keeps going from franchise to franchise with generational talents. Oh Lidstrom, Datsyuk, Zetterberg aged out? Time to go to Edmonton with McDraisaitl. Oh we made the finals? Time to go to Chicago with Bedard and a goddamn #2 pick in this year’s draft.

  16. TheEnglishNerd

While Holland did a great job continuing a dynasty in a pre cap era he has yet to build anything from the ground up. He has been slow as molasses in EDM which is why it’s still the McDrai show there. He was slow as molasses in Detroit which is why Yzerman was brought in. I’m fine with him going to Chicago but I feel bad for Bedard.

  17. _Kramerica_

The literal worst position to put Ken in: his 2 biggest faults were drafting and cap management. Good luck Chicago lmao.

  18. Loud-Anteater-8415

Holland hasn’t proved that he can build anything in the cap era.

  19. Why would Kenny going there mean they’re building a dynasty? He’s a terrible GM.

  20. uknownick

Why would Ken leave Edmonton where he has two biggest stars and a team going to the cup finals, to go to a rebuilding team? Especially we know he hates rebuilds

  21. Kenny on his way to waste the talents of another generational talent?

  22. Chicago bout to be amazing once Jim Devellano steps down

  23. Butch-Jeffries

Holland didn’t build the Red Wings or the Oilers. Most overrated GM in hockey.

  24. MacPh1sto

Excuse me while I puke. Bowman was hard enough there.
