  1. Okay my panthers won the cup now I better see the Canucks rase it next billy Lu’s other home needs one to there name

  2. No, the history should stay with the city, not the franchise. The franchise is nothing more than a license to run a team in a particular league.

The Cleveland Browns set this precedent.

  3. Franchise history should always stay with the franchise through relocation. anything else is just rewriting history. To make a quick detour from hockey, the Baltimore Ravens should have the original Cleveland Browns history, for example. but that doesn't mean that teams and cities shouldn't be able to celebrate the history and accomplishments of previous teams in their city. The Sens have Stanley Cup banners from the Original Sens, but they don't claim them as their own championships, for example.

  4. As far as the history staying w/ Meruelo, I think that's in the same stream as the Browns move to Baltimore and Cleveland kept the browns name and history. Well, Alex kept the Coyotes name and history… so this is the second time… but since Alex is letting go… I think the history should go to either Utah or back to Winnepeg.. if only then the Jets old logo's become property of the new jets..

  5. Does anyone else think the call for puck over glass is the only automatic, if the ref sees it he can’t ignore but a trip or a hook can just be ignored.

  6. Thrashers history stays with the current Jets
Legacy Jets history goes through Coyotes to Utah
New Coyotes and/or Thrashers would start their history anew because the team rosters have no continuity with their previous incarnations.

  7. Here's my take on the Arizona – Utah – Winnipeg question. Give the history from the move from Winnipeg until the franchise moved to Utah to Utah and let the Jets have the Original Jets history back.

  8. 5:07 this happened before in the NFL when they gave Cleveland back their past history when the Browns came back in 1999 after moving to Baltimore in 96 and treated Baltimore Ravens as a fresh expansion team. The Ravens and Browns don't share the same history.

  9. If anything we need less chances for coaches to be able to video review. I absolutely HATE the offside review, its ridiculous

  10. I wish the NHL instituted a 2 minute time limit on video reviews. If they can't overturn a call on the ice then the "infraction" was so minor as to be insignificant.

  11. So, Meruelo out, does that kill off the 5 year resurrection? Or can that be achieved by a well monied new group to end the hiatus?
