Just praying he shocks us in a good way. It’s certainly not a bad pick if it’s the case it’s just a questionable use of another extremely high pick when we already have a fair amount of D prospects/ players. Feels like this group needs that impact forward, hoping this is only smoke

Kirby dach vibes on this one. Does a lot of things good but nothing great. Scary and I’m disappointed, but obviously hoping for the best. If Kyle is wrong on this pick it could haunt the franchise for years

I don’t understand why everyone is so down on a kid who racked up points like he did his first yr over and in a big ten school like Mich st. Demidov looks great but remember he’s not even playing against KHL. His opponents were low level.
Obviously nothing is final yet, and I still think there is some possibility of a surprise. That said, I really would be shocked if it wasn’t Levshunov.
As I mentioned in a different post, he has a great personality and will be a great player. He would not be my first choice, but I won’t be disappointed if he is ultimately the pick.
Good demidov isn’t as good. He’s a flashy forward but levshunov is going to be a solid nhl player
I don’t get it. I’ve seen some good arguments here about how the hawks basically tore down the team for Bedard and need to rebuild the foundations so we can’t expect a Toews/Kane like turnaround within a few years but how does that make Demidov less desirable? Both options will take a couple years to come up and I really don’t see our forward prospects being far enough ahead of the defensive side to zero in on the big body RHD over the upside play.
I just want it all to be over.
We as Chicago fans really replaced Justin v Caleb with Demidov v Levshunov
Levshunov with Korchinski, Vlasic, and all our other defensive prospects has me excited!
This is why you NEVER get attached to prospects before they’re drafted by your team. I have way more trust in the team’s professional scouts than the armchair reddit scouts deadset on Demidov or bust.
I love Demidov as a player too, but Levshunov also has potential to be great, thats why hes seen as a top 5 talent. Some people need to stop pretending Demidov is Flawless and that Levshunov cant learn and develop his game further as an 18 year old prospect. Its absurd.

KD about to torpedo the rebuild one year after lucking into Bedard lmao.
Wasting the #2 pick on a d-man most scouts don’t think will be a true number 1 d-man is comical. Let’s skip on taking the consensus number #2 best player on the draft for that.
God I hope Demidov torches the league and the Hawks in a couple of years so people on this sub stop the constant KD worship.
