This is a nothing burger. He’d say the same thing about Levshunov.
It sounds like he’s been more impressed with other guys but hes also quite tight lipped so maybe he’s just keeping his cards close to his chest? I trust our scouts and our management but I guess time will tell.

I know a lot of comments are going the opposite direction, but this to me is an indication they are likely Drafting Ivan. I feel like if they were drafting someone else he would’ve had no problem, talking up Ivan specifically going through his attributes, how great it was meeting him, etc., whereas if he’s leaning towards selecting a guy, he’d play it kind of deflect like he did here being kind of like “yeah it was a lot Other great prospects were impressive too” usually when someone is very quick to move off a topic there’s a reason for it
He better be right about drafting Levshunov. You take a big swing at a guy like Demidov and it doesn’t work, at least you took almost the consensus #2 in terms of skill. You pass on him and he’s great, and Levshunov isn’t? Not good. So he better be right.
