I was kinda sad at the time we hadn’t given him another year or two but I get why we didn’t. Not super beat up about it, no one would’ve expected that out of the guy. Glad he’s getting some term and money.
He’s like their version of what Sunny is to us, but not as lovable
Good for him. GM’s seem to overpay 3rd and 4th line guys that get hot in the playoffs. Not that they aren’t necessarily worth it, but using replacement level players on cheap deals is how you continue to pay your core players and stay within the cap.
Blues didn’t know he’d get to that level either. I feel like they didn’t have a lot of faith in him. I’m happy things worked out for him.
I have doubts that he will continue to be on this level, but I wish him the best nonetheless.
