    Notable news from the article:

    – Gorton says pick the BPA, not necessarily a forward

    – Lapointe and Bobrov went to the Gold Star camp to see Demidov play but yesterday was the first time that Gorton and Hughes had met him. Gorton only had positive things to say about Demidov but said it wasn’t a long meeting.

    – They’ve reviewed Cayden Lindstrom’s medical records and don’t have any red flags about it

    – Gorton is confident they won’t trade the 5th pick

    – Basu thinks they’ll trade the 26th pick but they’re prepared to make it if necessary. The tough part in any trade involving picks is they can be outbid by other rebuilding teams like Chicago and Utah who have more draft capital

    – Won’t be involved in any big name FAs but they have players they’re interested in and they’ll see on Monday if it’s mutual

    – Ylonen will test the FA market but if there’s not much out there Gorton isn’t opposed to bringing him back

I think a team like Tampa who doesn’t pick until 128 would give up something useful to draft at 26.

Also the Lindstrom injury history is way too scary for me – we all see how physical the playoffs are, you can aggravate a herniated disk so easily
