@Flyers de Philadelphie

[Anthony DiMarco] L’accord entre PHI et #cbj est mort, m’a-t-on dit. Tout reste sur la table pour les #Flyers.

Damn, Demidov or Lindstrom would have been wild.

  2. Flyers7914

Unfortunate. Really wanted it to get done & it still could but I doubt CBJ comes off their asking price.

  3. Big_Acanthocephala14

Probably for the best. Overpaying at this point in a rebuild is a bad idea.

  4. ProfessorDerp22

That’s fine. Not completely sold on Lindstrom and there’s a chance Demidov isn’t even there at 4. If the deal were to happen, it’s probably going to happen right after pick 3 anyway.

  5. Narrow_Book_42069

Either way, there’s no way any deal for the 4 goes down until the 4th pick is on the clock.

Was wondering if we could have taken on merzlikins instead of one of the firsts, then bought him out. Oh well

If we were the ones unwilling to meet their price, I trust Briere’s judgment. Wonder if they’re still looking at a move up to 7 with the Sens.

If we’ve been serious about a deal for 7 with Ottawa, then 4 with Columbus, I highly doubt we just sit still at 12 at this point. Something will happen, just not sure what.

  9. Micksar

This pleases me. Just take Catton or Helenius at 12.

Good. We’re all eager for the dopamine hit that comes with Flyers trade news, but the asking price for 4 was too high. 3 picks and we don’t even know who the target was or who would be on the board. Buium or Demidov are probably worth moving up for imo. Buium, Brink and Rizzo have the Denver connection and theyve all won championships there. Plus he’s got that name alliteration that works so good with Bonk Bump and Barkey. Add in Brink and Buium, thats a whole fuckin line baby, just missing Bobrovsky to round it out but hey we can’t always have everything we want in life

If only we sucked like we were supposed to, we wouldn’t be in this predicament lol.

Oh well, here’s to hoping we can get the sens 7th.

What time do you figure the 3 pick gets called

  13. vinny8244

I wouldn’t give up a ton of picks to move around in this draft at this point. its seems like past pick 5 its a crap shoot from 6-15. I wouldn’t even mind if they moved back a couple of spots and picked up some 2nd rounders to do so. I do hope they pivot and get aggressive in a hockey trade to get a young C who can play with Michkov.

I’m not gonna lie, I’d rather have 4 firsts in the next two years instead of two. This is a pretty deep draft, we’re still in rebuild mode, and I don’t think trading three firsts for 4 is worth it

  15. Responsible-Till396

Swapping picks up to 4th and adding your low first pick next year and a player is a slam dunk for who we want at 4th whoever Briere says it is

I wonder if the sharks trading up affected this. Can’t be sure, but have to think that decreased the chance of a forward being taken at 11. Still–feeling less and less optimistic about Catton available at 12.

  17. Flyersandcaps

It’s funny how in earlier threads a guy being probably drafted fourth in a weak class was going to be a superstar.

  18. Steppyjim

Damn. I was already dreaming of Demidov and Michkov together. But I still think something’s gonna happen

I think this coming out close to the Atkinson news is probably related. Wonder if CBJ was asked to take his contract
