How about bringing back the CALIFORNIA Angels for a refresh/ rebrand? Or bring back Anaheim on the front of a jersey and it'll definitely fire up our fanbase. We don't want anything to do with LA either.
Tyler Anderson has a negative $8M trade value, by comparison Rengifo has a positive $17M value and Ward has a $20M positive trade value.
Basically, salary relief is about all you can expect to get for Anderson.
Regarding Sandoval, a team can't cut a player's salary by more than 20% and generally when it's due to injury teams will offer the same salary to the player, or even a small increase as a sign of good faith. I like the idea of a multi year extension, but it would be more like 2 years 10M with club options for 7M and 10M on years 3 and 4 and buyouts for about 2M. This way Sandoval has at least a 12M guarantee and incentive to produce, while the Angels have a chance at cutting losses if he doesn't pan out.

I don't and never have lived in CA and even I hate that they're the LA Angels. I am all about rebranding back to Anaheim or even OC, just anything but Los Angeles.
And Angels in the Outfield is the whole reason I chose this team (from AZ before the Dbacks existed), so if anyone at the stadium wants to flap their arms like a maniac, I will cheer them on! 😂

Arte makes his team seem like a poser, not did he not want to associate with Anaheim, Anaheim, the ducks are making themselves seem like a passionate fanbase. I think they’re trying to send a message to arte saying that they are not LA, so glad that the ducks are trying something.

I agree with keeping Luis Rengifo and extending his contract for as long as possible. Luis has performed very well for us, often being the only batter getting consistent hits for us, while all the others batters floundered. He is also a solid fielder, and he needs to take over third base, permanently. If and when Rendon returns, do not allow him to bump Rengifo off of third base. Luis is our man on the hot corner now. Put Rendon on rotating DH, or even DFA him, who cares? Rendon is just a negative disruption. Rengifo is our future, and a key to our success.

I gotta respect the Anaheim Ducks for that move. That's truly beautiful and appreciative branding for the community the team is a part of. I may be from Cuba, but the Angels have made me appreciate Anaheim and somehow feel connected to it. I hope one day they embrace that even more and go back to just being "The Anaheim Angels" (it's a beautiful name too)

I've been saying this for years about a rebrand. 2002 is ancient history. The era is gone. There is so much history that can be used to develop a fresh, but familiar look. I'm going to cook something up since it happens to be what I do for a living.
Extending Rengifo makes sense if we aren't getting a really good trade return. The Red Sox seem to be interested, but can they give us two good players or one very good player that can match the utility and bat skills that Rengifo has ?
His ability to be able to play any of the infield positions is pretty unique, and his bat has really developed and become strong.

So many things are up in the Air like Perry's contract and the draft and trade deadline that knowing what the 2025 Angels will look like is an impossible crystal ball exercise.
The 2026 year could be a good year but the 2027-2029 time frame could be great years! Rendon money is off the books, and our farm players will have been brought up and spent a year with the club

Wonderful performance by Davis Daniel! Wow! Just an enjoyable night at the ballpark. Note on attendance: the box score said 27,340 but if there was 20,000 or so there it was alot. Made moving around the stadium very easy! BTW, I started following this team years ago when I lived back east as the California Angels. Love those uniforms and wish they'd bring that all back, but Arte has to go before that would ever happen. Four in row! Let's GO!!!

As someone who hasn't lived in California since 01 and being around San Luis Obispo have when I did. So I never lived in the market for my sports teams which makes me not loyal to the city the team is in. I am an Angles fan not because they are in Anaheim. I am also a Raiders fan so I dont really care what my team's call home. That being said I would be behind the Angels going back to being called Anaheim or even the California Angels.
