  1. best guess Cole Eiserman. but hockey draft is sooooo hard to guess accurately. i have zero confidence in that guess.

  2. BiggestYzerfan

Think we are gonna get MBN but I voted Helenius because you can never have enough centers

I’m sorry but Nygard is the most boring, prototypical Wings pick that could be made. It’s way too safe and I feel like we need to start trying to find people with some more explosive offensive potential if we go that route. How many more Copps, Rasmussens, and Comphers do we need? Mazur also plays the same kind of game but will probably be a better forward than Copp and Ras. Take a risk on someone like Eiserman.

Absolutely love Liam greentree, skating isn’t the best, but if you look at his production he had like 60% of the total teams points. Absurd

  5. 72athansiou

Helunius (that’s definitely not spelled right) if he slips. That’s my money pick This year

  6. Own_Flower1947

My preference would be Michael Hage, but my gut says that if available it’s going to be Solberg or Nygård.

  7. reznorwings

I really like MBN and I am cool if we take him as we have a need for wingers with size and snarl to go with their scoring ability.

That said I would rather take Hage, Eiserman or Connelly (provided his background check pans out). Team needs more high end skill and those three have more than MBN.

I voted MBN but I really hope we take a swing on someone with more upside. I’m actually pissed that SJ was able to trade up to 11 – they showed that we could have done something similar and ended up with a Catton or Eiserman, instead of a tier 3 prospect.

    Head: MBN
    Heart: Hage

  9. jfstompers

I’ll hope for the skilled forward as usual but we’ll get Solberg probably.

  10. JeremyEMT

Sadly, I believe it’ll be MBN.

Not a bad player by any means, but I feel we have enough of these 200ft players.

If Eiserman is available, I’d prefer him.

Or if Catton falls to 13 or so, I’d draft up for him.

    That’s my armchair GM take.

No way Eiserman drops to 15

(Shh keep saying this so he will)

  12. TheGongShow61

Idk – waiting to see what future considerations turns out to be.

  13. Pretty sure we’re going to trade #15 to Chicago to help unload that pesky Moritz Seider for future considerations. Then Stevie, my childhood idol, is going to come to my house, kick my dog in the face, and stab me in the heart with a Farberware paring knife.

  14. Lamprayisme

My head says Nygard, but there’s a bit of me that thinks Greentree might be the guy, young captain, good point totals, wouldn’t be upset with either pick.

If it’s me up there I’m jumping for Hage or Eiserman if he’s available though, we have enough Kasper/Danielson types, take a swing for someone high skill

  15. Usual-Personality347

Should take MBN and I think they will but apparently Yzerman had a really productive conversation with Connelly and he apparently had the same with Philly

  16. kronosofwaste

I am hoping for Connelly. He is a top 10 talent that has taken a beating in ranking due to off and on ice issues. A pure boom or bust type of prospect.

  17. toothwzrd_

Connelly if he passes the Yzerman character assessment

  18. cutyourhair

A couple of people voicing some displeasure with a potential MBN pick. I have a different preference as well (Hage), but I think MBN really pops in his highlight clips. You can see the energy and force he plays with. If we pick him, I predict he will become a cult hero in no time.

He’s well deserving of 15th overall. It’s just about preference, but we would add a real baller to our system.

  19. Greentree, for no other logic than I once lived on a road called greentree drive..

  20. Cyrus8284

As long as its a homerun swing on a guy with huge upside i’ll be pumped. Lets lay off the hard working, 2 way, 200ft, high floor, low ceiling guys. We need stars and snipers.

  21. Brooksie019

It’s Stevie, so who the hell knows lol, not saying that in a bad way or anything.

  22. thefonzz91

I really want Cole Eiserman so it probably won’t be him

  23. Basic_Ask1885

Anaheim’s reported interest in Sennecke (Wheeler) is probably just a smokescreen, but I’m hoping teams get desperate for D if that happens, Stolberg goes too 14, and one of Catton/Eiserman is there. Mainly for more cats and Yzermans

  24. MBN seems like the recent Red Wings draft fit, but I think his recent tournament tape makes him seem too exciting. So I just feel like if Sennecke drops, he will land here because that is the most milquetoast, underwhelming pick possible in a draft full of uninspiring players.
