Terik Parascak, F, Prince George Cougars (WHL)
Height: 5-foot-11 Weight: 173 pounds
Parascak is an intriguing prospect who produced 43G–62A for the Cougars in the regular season and was also an astounding plus-49. Parascak extends plays along the wall and escapes pressure in small areas. He isn’t the biggest, or strongest, prospect but he’s plenty slippery and hard to defend. His three-zone detail is reliable as well. I’m monitoring him in the playoffs to see how he handles the extra attention that will come. It’s somewhat difficult to put into words but Parascak, despite his statistics, isn’t necessarily a play driver. He’s a play “extender” who capitalizes on his chances when he finds quiet ice to score.

This is good pick, Eiserman is too big of a gamble too much risk with him.

First impression off the rip is that we reached on a guy when we had a bunch of supposedly better players fall into our lap. I’m no GM so I’ve gotta assume they know something we don’t but this seems like a very odd pick IMO.

They didn’t draft the racist!

Could have gotten him late first early second

The pick surprised me… but remember guys, this was zac funk’s teammate. Maybe GMBM thinks parascak will keep funk a high level forward…. Maybe after sending sounds to funk, they were DEADSET that he was undervalued on draft boards…. Idk Just my thought process…

I was pretty surprised with this but he had 20+ more points this year than Tij Iginla who just went 6th overall. Both 17 years old.
Looks like Parascak is the more complete offensive player whereas Eiserman is more of a pure sniper. Maybe it’s copium but I’m excited to see how he develops. I trust the scouting staff.

Huh, well that’s a pick.

awful pick, this would’ve made sense in the late 2nd

Feels like they’re trying to outsmart the league by finding an unpolished gem, but generally have to trust Mahoney’s takes on the WHL. Especially when it’s betting on smarts and skills, rather than someone just outsizing their age group or something like that.

Hage, Eiserman, Chernyshov, even Greentree has better upside. I’m kinda lost ngl.
