Is he a Center or a Forward? Some media outlets are reporting Center, some are reporting Forward. I hope he’s a Center because the Preds definitely need a good Center for the future.
I so wanted Montreal to draft him with the 21st you guys got a good one. He does it all will be a fan favorite. You don’t see many Russians play like him. People say he is to raw yet and will take time just put him in your training camp and see what he does to your other prospects
Yakov Trenin was drafted in the second round in 2015 with a similar resume of size, physicality, and scoring who could play C or the wing. His offenseive game never took off but hoping things will be different with Surin.
Plays center and rw
I like the Surin pick—he's played wing and Surin and is not exactly like a Trenin. He's put up some good numbers in his career—assists and goals and appears to be a play driver which could fit in Brunette's system.
Saw him flatten 235 lb 6’4defenseman and then went straight to backchecking when the guy came after him he beat him in fight. He’s a crazy man that scores passes plays 200 foot game and hits. Better then chersonov second best Russian forward in draft way underrated
