@Oilers d'Edmonton

#nhl #floridapanthers #edmontonoilers

  1. What happened to McDavid?

He was no where to be seen in the finals when the pressure was on. Games 1/2/3/7 he was no where to be seen,

When the pressure was off you noticed he was on the ice.

What happened when the lights shined the brightest? He was no where to be seen

  2. If McJesus is so great then it's his fault he didn't score in game 7 to at least tie the game. And the NHL gave him the Con smith trophy because he is over rated. It should go to someone on the winning team.

  3. Bettman 31 Canada ZERO. He has been preventing Canada from winning since 94. NOT a "conspiracy" . No one can convince me that in 31 years no Canadian team was "good enough to win" and more suspiciously no 2 Canadian teams were good enough to meet in the finals. The first thing he did was prevent Vancouver from winning in 94 (after he moved the NHL head office from Toronto to New York). He has been doing it ever since – allowing a team to periodically go to the finals and even game 7 but always prevents the Canadian team from winning. He does this with the "help" of the referees who are told to call extra penalties against Canada and less against the other team. In game 7 of this year within 3 minutes of the start a bogus call against the Oilers which gave Florida a goal. If the Oilers would have scored more there would have been more penalties called against them and fewer against Florida. People saying the Oilers were not "aggressive enough" are wrong because if they were the refs would have called even more penalties against them. A no win situation. He is all about helping the American teams thrive and will do everything to ensure the cup stays in America. He is salivating at the eventual move of McDavid, Draisaitl, Matthews and others to US teams because they will know they can never win a cup playing for a Canadian team. Now that he has promised the owner in Phoenix that they will have another team it should work out that at least one of those players I mentioned will end up signing there which would instantly help that Phoenix team. So corrupt. He hates the Canadian teams but loves their money and stretching out the series to game 7 brought him millions more. It is especially sad that the two most expensive season tickets are in Edmonton and Toronto but neither of which will ever win again. Edmonton is lucky that he took over in 94 instead of 84 because if he did the Oilers would never have won even 1 cup. "Captain America" – Gary Bettman.

  4. As a Canadian Oilers fan its too bad the out come wasn't what we wanted but we gotta be proud, they came from the bottom all the way to the very last game of the season and breaking records and milestones not reached by many as a team.
Next year let's finish it off with a cup win.

McDavid not coming out I can't blame him, not at home, being sonclose but losing the cup, and being with his teammates to support them.

  5. Leon and Conner were over played. They shouldn’t be killing penalties. But that’s the problem with a team that lacks depth.

  6. In cup clinching games players like Gretzky and Lemieux always came up big. Sure McDavid had a couple of great games of 4 points each but got zero points in the last two games of the series. He could have really secured his legacy with a big game 7 but he did not come through and if he goes on to never win a cup this game will haunt him for the rest of his life.

  7. For Edmonton to complain about Florida tying up the puck against the boards for the final seconds its time for a real good reality check. Take a look at what Bobby Orr did in numerous games. He would skate around for almost a full minute by himself until the buzzer went. My opinion about McDavid is when you did not even come out and even touch that trophy it was a slap in the face to hockey. It was insulting. My advice is this,,, grow up,, be a man and move on. The Edmonton team got to the playoffs as a team not by a single person!

  8. Edmonton had the easiest path to the cup. I would absolutely say Bob did more over the playoffs than anyone else to secure the cup. my team is in the metro had no dog in the fight. it's a consolation prize to Canada. its bull shit

  9. You see, this is why i thought it should have been Barkov, not McDavid or even Bobrovsky. Barkov had the brutal assignment of limiting some great scorers, from Kucherov to McDavid…and he did that, all while being expected to provide offense himself.

  10. Oilers still out scored the panthers In 7 games making them a stronger team if you look at the math. I believe Oilers will win the next Stanley cup

  11. idk panthers fans are disrespecting the oilers. they barely got away from choking a 3-0 lead in the final and win by one sequence of hockey that could've gone both ways. both fanbases should be humble that their teams even made it to game 7 of the final.

  12. Not impressed by Bob on his goal allowed, but not talking about how skinner gets beat short side by a right handed shot as a “big bodied goalie”. That should be his easiest save of the night.

  13. Bob lost 3 with bad performance so doesn’t get the mvp? Mcdavid only showed up in 2 games… 😂

  14. The Oilers seemed to play the last minute in slow motion. Took a replay to confirm, but it just looked weird while viewing in real time. Didn't realize that McDavid had been on ice over half the period. Coach gambled on the last minute…..and lost.

  15. Bad coaching at the end . Mcdavid was too tired when I pulled the goalie. You should have got a little bit of rest right before they pulled the goalie.

  16. Gretzky WON the 1985 cup in 18 games with 47 points. McDavid lost the cup after 25 games with 42 points. He didn’t deserve a trophy.

  17. Congrats to the Panthers for pulling it off after losing 3 demoralizing games, they were able to outlast and shut the Oilers in the most important game. Im heart broken as a Oilers fan but still happy they showed lots of grit to come back. Both McDavid and Draisaitl had to fight through injuries and I'd like to wonder what could have happened if all were 100%. Overall great playoff !

  18. bobrovsky had "a pretty decent game?" lmao he won the Cup in game 7, stopped 23/24 shots, didnt let mcdavid or draisatl score once n played great. not sure if thats better than "pretty decent" #Champs

  19. As a whole..in the series the Oilers out played the cats.
They got beat by phenomenal goaltending and the cats scoring in clutch situations.
Looked like Oilers had more puck control and shots on goal.
Not to take away from the cats, they just plain … "Got it done"
I rooted for the cats but admired the Oilers tenacity.

  20. guys it’s a sport. booing and cheering is just a part of it and it always has been. OF COURSE THE FANS WANTED A PANTHER TO GET IT. Now they are showing their dissatisfaction. Do not even try and act like Edmonton goobers wouldn’t have done the exact same thing. it’s fine and so is not coming out to get it. McDavid wanted the cup and he played like it, he cares more about his team than a stupid trophy. he wanted the oilers to win not himself. i’m an avalanche fan and despise the oilers but neither of these acts were “classless” you guys get so butt hurt over a sport when you aren’t even the ones playing.

  21. Just like Matthews with Toronto, Until McDavid leaves Edmonton he will never win the cup. When Barkov shut McDavid down the whole team became average.

  22. Face it Oilers fans there is a good chance McDavid doesn’t win a cup. He isn’t surrounded with Hall of Famers like 99 was.
