Well, Kevin, it was real.. it was fun, but it wasn’t real fun. Good luck in Pit.

Look forward to what Doug and crew do with the 16m in space. I don’t think you make this move unless they are planning still on spending to the cap.. so we’ll see what that 16m entails

Is there even anything good in free agency this year to spend the money on?

Sounds like we are gearing up to do some serious business.

Get ready for a Buch overpay. $8mm until 37/38 years old incoming

Edit: Y’all out here acting like you’ve never seen Army GM before 🤣

I always had a weird opinion on hayes. Like he always looked like he worked hard but looked lazy at the same time.

Quite a bit of cap space there to play with. Maybe we can get some things in motion

Essentially we’re paying a 2nd and a 6th just to rent him for a (very mediocre) year :/

Nothing like acquiring a player for a small asset to having to move on from said player with a large asset as a sweetener the next year. I didn’t see what the plan was for acquiring him once the Krug element was off the table last year personally.

To Army’s credit, he realizes when he fucks up and does whatever he can to move that salary out. Lehtera, Berglund, Sobotka, Hayes, etc.

I remember when the trade to get him was universally seen as a steal. Just goes to show you nothing is certain. Oh well, sucks we had to lose a pick too.

  10. I don’t see the logic in giving up a second. They couldn’t have done this for any less? That seems high given he was gone next year… We must be getting ready for a lot of signings if not….this could have been a 4-5th rd pick.
