Short story on him is he has blazing speed, nimble, and is a decent playmaker with hands that keep up (compare: Mark Jankowski, who seemed to bobble the puck the second he was up to speed). More offensively minded than a two-way player, but loves to drive towards the net offensively from off the boards. Jury is still out how far up a roster he can go. Most seem to settle on a middle 6 forward.
I think if you flipped Basha and Gridin, there probably wouldn’t be too many questions about this draft. Good find by Conroy in my opinion.

I don’t know much about Gridin, but if Conny felt he had to reach to grab him then I’m excited to see what he does in the NCAA.

Great pick for you guys. I’m really jealous he didn’t fall to the oilers but the guy is a great player. With Lindstrom out for most of the back half of the year he stepped up big time on the tigers. 30 goals this year from a fifth round whl pick.
Willie is a great coach who’ll continue to develop him and the tigers are gonna be really really great for the next couple years giving him loads of good experience.
