Them shedding Hayes makes less sense if we don’t spend to the cap.

I see us signing someone like Matt Roy/Warren Foegele and maybe Brendan Dillon/Matt Walker type on D. I assume the plan is to leave Steen some cap space when he takes over.

I expect nothing and I am still disappointed

The need to sign Libor Zabranski to 4 X $3.5

Not the fun type of offseason for us Blues fans but this is the right way to go about retooling. Clean up the balance sheet so you can spend wisely when you are better prepared to go after it.

  6. They’re going to go to after a 2C guaranteed.

They had to clear cap to extend parayko and krug 🤣

I know that MLB and NHL approaches to team building are vastly different, but this feels like the Cardinal’s approach to the offseason.

  9. JR just making shit up for clicks like always lol

I know that Army says exactly what he wants to say in order to say nothing in a strategic fashion. He has some money, some holes to fill, and he fill them as well as he is able. He probably won’t score on day one, but it doesn’t mean he’s not on the phone all day trying. I think we get two second or third tier guys in free agency. Though I hope he is trying for one solid second line center.

The only big change the Blues would be positioned to make would be via trade.

And considering no one wants our defense, and Army would be crucified for trading Neighbours or Snuggerud, it’s hard to see a giant splash being made in the trade market.
