I'm so damn excited about the end of that draft!!! Jeff Jackson got asked by Friedman about their UFAs after the O'Reilly pick – "nothing imminent, we're talking to them. Obviously because we played so late we're a little behind the 8 ball, but we've had good discussions with all of the guys who are our own UFAs, and we're optimistic we're going to be able to bring all of them back."

Don't like the trade of 1st round for future 1st round. We don't have any draft picks for next year's deadline deal.

Skinner will make it to midseason before another goalie has brought in to take over. He’s not a number one.
Pickard earned his spot, but I think it would’ve been better to go for a goalie that can split the season with Skinner

Happy to see Picard return. I hope he gets more ice time this year. He's a great compliment to Skinner and it's nice to see how much they support each other. I think Picard played a key role in helping Skinner, who is still a very young goalie, to find his game. Picard, in is own right, is a solid goalie who plays with heart and is fun to watch.
Picard deserved the resign. Like you, DeBrusk is an annual rumor. Nice to have but can they afford him ? If Brown can continue his playoff run in the off season it will be awesome. Thanks for the update
This was a sneaky good move, I see reactions like waste of draft capital for nexts years deadline but we know the oilers first round pick will be a late first round this kid goes out and has a monster yr in the O and increases his value and he’s one year closer to NHL ready now the oil have a very good trade piece at the deadline think as the same framework that got us Ekholm

Great signing for pickled and bringing Brown back for hopefully a low amount would also be great. They honestly should trade Campbell to Utah or someone who has a lot of cap space and send a 3rd round pick for a 7th round pick just to get his contract out. DeBrusk would be an upgrade at wing for the team as he has way more upside than most of the forwards now with scoring. Physically like Kane or Foegle.
Why would the flyers trade this years pick got a later 1st pick are they trying to extend their rebuild or are they just saying there are no players in this draft that were worth their pick? You know it’s a bad year for draft when the flyers don’t want any of them
Sam is a great addition, he's a defensive forward which is kinda needed. He started out on defense so he's kinda exactly what we need. Top6 material? Don't know about that but he definitely adds some depth

We need veterans. Especially on defense. Nurse could go if anyone will take him. Bouchard needs to be better in his own zone, Kane performed in year one and nothing since. Drysaitl couldn't hit the net in the final. Lots i don't know the details of why, maybe injuries or personal issues.
