It’s hilarious how much it has rattled fans. They’ve been saying the crowds are « small » and trying to recontextualize Tkachuck’s comments into it being about how many cups the teams have overall.
In a season where they have proven naysayers wrong on multiple occasions, they have been far from gracious losers.
This could have been something where they celebrated how they clawed their way back from pretty dire circumstances, but instead it’s just a bunch of « Nuh-uh! We still have more cups and fans! 🤓 », as if that could downplay Florida’s championship this season.

Pretty clear that he still seethes about 2021-22 and it hasn’t inspired him to play better against the Oilers, either.
