@Sabres de Buffalo

[Lysowski] Les Sabres n’ont pas fait d’offre qualificative au défenseur Jacob Bryson, a confirmé une source. Il deviendra joueur autonome.

  1. Haven’t been this hurt since we bought out Skinner :(((((((((

  2. I don’t really understand keeping Clague and dumping Bryson tbh

    I don’t think this means he’s definitely gone. It just means the Sabres weren’t willing to pay him $1.9M to be a #7/8 defenseman in Buffalo.

    I could see Buffalo signing him for less. But he may choose to sign somewhere that has less depth at LHD.

    Sabres will never win a game again. Dammit! 😆

    There were a few other D bought out or not qualified around the league. Could be that the hope is for an upgrade — like Brannstrom, Boqvist, or Schmidt.

    Was a whopping -24 in 59 games 2 years ago could say if they had better D in front of UPL and Anderson the playoff drought is done… this season had 15 shots on goal in 36 games getting roughly 14 minutes a night. No reason not to use a league minimum guy as a 7th dman at this point with those numbers.

    I don’t think Bryson is as good as he was meme’d into existence, but he’s definitely an NHL d-man. I find it hard to believe the Sabres couldn’t find a home for him. At the very least they could have gotten a worthless 2nd rounder for him.
