Kovacevic arrives but we aren’t done. Pesce is coming to Jersey but so is either Dillon or Zadorav. Brendan Smith sold his house so it sounds like Smith will be gone clearing space for Dillon/Zadorav.
Devils just got a new right handed D from Montreal.
So Pesce is probably off the table.
Mercer on a bridge wont be near 5 million per.
Also, as a fan NJ still needs a legitimate grit left handed D.
Stamkos and Kane are my number one veteran forwards I want NJ to get.

Your cap projections are off because the Devils have made qualifying offers to 4 other players besides Mercer . Both Daws & Foote will cost about $1m each
Nobody has enjoyed my idea so far but ill see if yall want to humor me lol. Mercer 3/4y @ 4-5, alec Martinez 2/3y @2.5-3.5 if he'll not try the cup tax,i like Dillon over pesce so let's assume him @3 for x years, at most 1.25 for daws to stay and back up markstrom, there are several bigger physical d for sub 2.5 like lybushkin or tinordi and depending on the number wiggle room for Chandler Stephenson or Anthony duclair with a few mil in left over wiggle room. Eh? Eh? 😅

Ace, I do think one of the best things that Fitzy does as a GM is to sell New Jersey as a desirable destination for players. If he can get Stammer's ear and we are close to the money…anything is possible
