happy about that he’ll be great on the first line, curious how much though

Bit of a roll of the dice, but if he can stay healthy, that’s a solid pickup.

Edit: 3.5 AAV. I’ll take that all day.

I’ve wanted him for years I really think that speed is what we’ve needed for a long time. I hope he can live up too what I think he can do with stability finally

RIP “Sleepy Lou is running it back AGAIN” narrative, 7/1/24-7/1/24.

    So much for getting younger

    Fire Lou please.

He’s a good 2nd but if they were plan on going r coming him in with Horvat and Barzal…yikes. Have to see what the hit will be before deciding whether this is good or not.

Edit: I’m ok with this after seeing the cap hit.

I like the pickup, but damn I was not expecting 4 years. Has to be a cheap deal. Personally would love to have him in the bottom 6 with Pager and get back to being a team with some real depth.

Editing to say 3.5 per year is a nice piece of work by Lou. We’re still gonna be in a cap bind here without additional moves for like 2 years or so, but in itself this is great value (if he keeps up his recent pace).

Don’t worry guys, the doomers will still bitch and moan and want to fire Lou

Didn’t Roy coach him in the juniors. Maybe had some influence

Very nice. Between him and Tsyplakov we’ve added a couple of low-risk high-upside wingers this off-season. Wing situation looks much better than it did 18 months ago. And they still have a decent amount of flexibility if they wanted to move guys out to clear up more space.

Total steal at these dollars. Adds to our team speed and ability to finish near the net. And an easy contract to move or buy out at this price.

Duclair is Beau except he scores more. I like it.

If Lou had given the dollars and term Barry gave out to two forwards over 30 today (Stamkos and Marchessault), you’d all want to enact the 25th amendment to get him out of office.

Doesn’t help fix the PK, but it’s a good move. Team is better than it was this morning.

I’ve wanted to see Duclair on our team for a while. Clear win.
