I know a lot have enough of today but there’s just too much going on to process what has happened in the last 48 hours. First Sergy and now our captain. I know we need to stay competitive and that Guentzel signing will help, but losing too many of our franchise’s faces is going to be such a pain especially going into next year when we play Utah and the Predators at home.
Honestly I hope that at the end of his four year contract, Stammer comes back to play a year with us and retire as a bolt. Do something that Vinny or St. Louis couldn’t do.

Gonna take a while to get amped up for hockey again. This one is a kick in the nuts.
Forget the money, he would have taken less here.
The moves we’ve made only to show the face of the franchise the door so easily is discouraging.
I don’t think anyone expected the likes of Stammer, Hedman, Killorn, Pally, Point, Maroon, etc all to triumphantly stick together but I think there was an understanding that there was a very core group who makeup this teams culture.
And stamkos was one of those guys.
