@Sabres de Buffalo

1. Sabres added over 400 hits to this roster next season. A trade can still happen since we still have the whole summer left. I can see Tage, Cozens, Tuch, Quinn & Peterka getting 150+ goals next season. Dahlin, Byrum & Power can score 40+ goals combined next season. That's 190+ goals between 8 players.

  2. For a guy who threw three long-term deals at Dahlin, Thompson and Cozens iust a short time ago, Kevyn sure is tucking his tail on spending money now. At the worst possible time.

Edit: And Terry isn't innocent in all of this either. There is one common link that's been tied to this fourteen year drought, and it's him. Seems more concerned saving a few bucks and will let the franchise burn to the ground if that's what it takes.

  3. I do really like the Zucker addition. He plays a full game. However, he's a 3rd line winger at best & though good defensively he doesn't take faceoffs. I also loved the Johansson move a few years back & he was a nothing-burger for us.

Also – wouldn't Kulich be closer to becoming that 3rd line center than Savoie as of today? Genuinely asking

  4. I want to see the kids play. Buffalo had to build, this is not a team that will compete for a cup. They will be ebtertaining, that is all I ask,

  5. Look what the Canucks did kast year, they basically remade their bottom 6 and were pretty close to going for a cup. Lindy will shape these guys up and they will be a lot better

  6. Letting go of Skinner seems like a mistake. Hindsight obviously. There is no 2 ways about it though, this roster will hinge on Tage and Cozens pulling their weight again.

  7. GMKA can’t make a real trade for whatever reason.

He’s got to the weekend before I’m out of patents with him.

  8. We need a new owner badly man it all stems from ownership why people don’t wanna be here in the first place, this franchise does EVERYTHING wrong

  9. I was hopeful so I looked to see if Sam Lafferty can win faceoffs. 42.1 % last year. 🤦‍♂️
So I guess it’ll be 4 years in a row finishing dead last in faceoffs.

  10. Krebs hasn’t shown you anything because he has played with nothing players for 85% of his 2 years. Yet somehow got 30 assists in the 2 years playing with Okposo and Girgensons.

  11. If players don't want to come to Buffalo or won't sign here with a year left on their contracts then you can't sell off your best prospects and after year that player leaves. It's time to see what Savoie or Kulich can do. They've got lots of hype. These are prospects you talk about trading to get a top 6 player but they are not good enough to make the Sabres so why would another team take them if they can't make the Sabres. You can't have it both ways. Quinn, Peterka, Benson Cozens have to deliver and the playoffs are within reach.

  12. The answer to why the Sabres have to overpay for players is BECAUSE NO ONE WANTS TO COME TO BUFFALO. We seriously need to start making playoff runs before anyone considers signing there.

  13. Truth is lots of contracts like will age badly were handed out I understand the 13 year drought but Adam’s didn’t do anything stupid today trades still possible

  14. Adams brought in physicality and penalty killers just what you needed. Sounds like he's expecting our top forward to step up and bring up some prospects

  15. I’m good with it. The kids need to grow up, we need solid production from the top six and the kids need to push for that ice time. I can see a lot of surprise health scratches next season and winning more games by low scores. Ruff always had great defense in Buffalo and it wasn’t all Hasek…

  16. Hard to get good players to come to a team in the middle of a rebuild. The Sabres young players aren’t good enough to lead a team to the playoffs and they don’t have the right vets.

  17. You don't build your team through free agency. You add to your team, just like we did. Very tough fourth line now.
Top six gonna have to be a trade.
So many terrible fa signings out there.

  18. We had a 3rd line center but traded him to the AVs, its look like we take a step forward then 2 back. Is the owner not committed to spending money up to the cap?

  19. Sign Adam Henrique. Then either him or Cozens can be your 3rd line Center. Then make your trade. Time to move Krebs in my opinion. Krebs Rosen and a pick for a top 6 F and then we are talking

  20. I'm gonna say the loud part out loud. Talent does not want to come to Buffalo. If the Sabres want a top 6 forward they will have to develop one through the draft. Teams know the sabres are in need of a top 6 forward and will fleece them.

  21. Seriously with our cap situation we could of at least enticed 1 or 2 guys in front loaded 2 year deals. 😅

  22. The comments in this post are making me feel better about the current situation. I was thinking that we didn’t make a big enough splash today.

  23. Disgusting day, same as last year, all the 'talk' about doing things, and its the same…nothing good. you removed scoring, and you failed to replace it, and made it worse… but good job re-signing bryson, because you really need five hundred d men. Can we bring relegation in the NHL, seriously. Sabres are the new Nordiques/Whalers…just a doormat, not with a will to win the Stanley Cup, the only will is, doing just enough to maybe get the last playoff spot to get swept, and then do nothing with it. This current roster…is a failure. This is now on the GM for not pulling the trigger on deals that were out there, that HE ADMITTED he thought were made, but somehow fell through. Because he's trigger shy…

  24. No one was ever questioning Skinner’s ability to produce points….. it was the inability to contribute defensively and play soundly anywhere else besides in the offensive zone. Top 6 forwards have to be able to play in every zone consistently in todays NHL. He did not fit Lindy’s philosophy and did fit on the 3rd line. The buyout stings but it made sense. Don’t understand why people are losing their mind over this already

  25. I don't think they're done yet. And I think they did addition by subtraction. Rolling the dice on new guys and getting rid of alot of the ancient guard that has lead us no where. The youngins will lead us to the playoffs and we'll still have a good trade coming. Stay tuned.

  26. tbh the sabres have so much future elite talent they dont need to crazy. the players they need to win the cup are already in their barn. just be patient. grow and mature as a team and they will be unstoppable
