Liljigren, Robertson and next years 2nd for a package to get Parayko.
They wont miss Bert or Robertson. Bert is good from about 10' in to the net and useless in the other 190' of ice. He's a turnover machine and possibly ine of the worst skaters in the league. Robertson is to small for the playoffs and thats something the Leafs are trying to get away from. There's also his injury history. The money can be better spent elsewhere for a better all round player on both counts. I just dont understand the love affair with Robertson or Bert. Bert is certainly not worth 5 million or more DeBrusk would be a better fit for the Leafs and bettermon the wing with Matthews. Bert did well when he was with Matthews everyone does well when playing with Matthews.
Ive always seen Robertson like Bracco, we should trade him while he still has value.

robertson has great potential they just don't play him enough and they jerk him around which is really sad. nobody want to say it they dont want diversity in this team.
Robertson does not have what the Leafs need, he has had multiple chances with the team and it is the same every time, gets in line up, plays well 2 or 3 games, gets injured, off for a number of months..rinse and repeat. And add me to the list of fans who does not understand the Lilje deal,, 3M is too much for a very inconsistant player,

He’s been given a lot of chances and yet he’s still ass. Should’ve given the money to Robertson but keefe screwed us over with that by not playing him
I think they signed Lilly for sign and trade. Lilly goes to Boston. Kampf and Robertson to LA. Sign OEL.
I feel they will opt for a draft pick next year since they are so short on picks. Leafs said at this draft that they needed more draft capital. They want to maximize their salary cap for free agency. They can find 3-4 line players easily after.

Not a smart move from Robertson. The time for a trade request would have been when he was going through his troubles last year, not now with new coaches.
In addition a trade could land him anywhere and a potentially a bad spot.
If he is healthy and playing a regular shift, he should be able to score 20 goals. He is young and cheap. Unless the leafs don't like him, they should try and soothe him into wanting to stay.

Bertuzzi to Chicago?
Leafs need a big game goalie. They can sign all these players they want but there still going to get bounced in the first round. They need to get Ullman somehow. They do that and here comes the cup.
They don’t have to move him… seems like that’s the thing no one gets. If his value isn’t high enough to get anything that helps the team and he doesn’t want to sign, let him sit. That will be worse for his career then just playing until he can be traded for some value
Nick Robertson demands trade….. So what? He's a 22 year old second rounder. He's had five years as a pro. He has played 60 AHL games, 87 NHL games and 10 playoff games with the leafs. I have yet to be impressed. I'd say his only trade value right now is name recognition. What could you get for him, a sixth rounder? According to cap friendly he has made $1.5 million so far. He is lucky to have cleared that.
Leafs are going to be worse this year despite spending an extra $5 million versus the CAP.
