Good luck Sammy. Glad the Leafs are moving on but hey you did help the Leafs finally win a round against Tampa a couple of years ago so will always be thankful for that.

I love Sammy. Great guy, and I genuinely don’t think we get past Tampa in 2023 without him. But until he’s able to perform consistently, we can’t afford to have him be our starter again. Best of luck to him.

i think if he was kept in the backup role he would have been fantastic
his comeback this season was inspirational even if it didn’t end on the best note

Absolutely zero ill will toward Sammy. When he’s on his game, he’s a great goalie but the second he loses his posts he gets out of position and gives up terrible goals. Always rooted for him to figure it out. His redemption arc in the middle of the season was awesome to cheer for.

I wish him the best, but I don’t think he’s consistent enough to be an NHL player. When he’s off, the team is just throwing away games. If Jones hadn’t come through, the Leafs were close to losing their playoff spot. Vegas could be in the same position if Hill injures himself. There are other cheap goalies I’d take over Samsonov.

Thank goodness, seems like a nice guy and I wish him well but the fan base’s attachment to him especially last season was bewildering
I wish all the best to Sammy, he’s a great guy and a good goalie, even if he wasn’t a good fit for us. I will, however, be forever grateful for that 2023 round one. Godspeed my man!
I remember when there was a lot of speculation that him and Kuz were getting in trouble off the ice. If this was 3 years ago I am sure everyone would be saying he is doing it for the drugs.
Hope he can bring his best game there I was super excited when he was brought in.
