  1. Debrusk/Petey/Boeser
    Joshua/Miller/Garland
    Heinen/Suter/Sherwood
    Hoglander/Blueger/Aman

    Hughes/Hronek
    Soucey/Myers
    Forbort/Desharnais

  2. DeBrusk is a 50 point player (once), Petey is a 100 and 90 point player how the heck is this the best answer they could find. This team doesn't want to win.

  3. Here's a hot tate boys; Hronek will play on the second pair, because as configured (barring a trade) Myers and the newly signed Desharnais, are both 3D guys. Easier to find a guy to play with Hughes than with the lumbering Soucy.

  4. Not sure why so much of Canucks media is so hesitant to the idea of Joshua and Garland in the top 6. DeBrusk isn't tied to Petey. You can absolutely play DeBrusk with Miller and Boeser and then go with Joshua/Petey/Garland on that 2nd line and then Heinen/Suter/Hoglander on the 3rd line

  5. Hoglander – Petey – Lekkeramaki?
    Debrusk – Miller – Boeser
    Joshua – Suter – Garland
    Heinen – Blueger – Sherwood

    Hughes – Hronek
    Soucy – Myers
    Forbort – Vinny

    Silovs

  6. here's hoping Lekkerimaki forces his way onto the team in camp. Could solve all the issues if he has a rookie year half as good as Boeser or Petey's

  7. Team didn't get better overall…our defense is slightly worse off but I do think our forward depth got better with Heinen and Sherwood. Forbort and Desharnais give the D more size and grit but agree they need a little more offensive push from the back end now other than Hughes and Hronek.

  8. I hope it works but this team is going nowhere the defense sucks beside Hughes slow as mollases and im sorry debrusk at best is a second line winger were not better were worse

  9. Pretty good day except choosing Hronek over Zadorov was a big mistake. Should have traded Hronek and focused on guys who actually show up in the playoffs.

  10. The second coming Debrusk yea ok sure hes ok but hes certainly not elite period Marchseault 5 years 5.5 mill 110 points 42 goals 68 assists Debrusk aint even close Sell it harder boys we got the guy nobody else really wanted😅😅😅

  11. I was worried after the Guentzel signing we would overpay for a guy out of desperation & the fact that they didn't go nuts is a plus IMOP

  12. I'm glad we didn't sign Ian Cole & Utah got him. He was a liability where we lost to Edmonton because of Ian Cole. Many Canuck fans felt that Cole was playing for the Oilers to win. Cole was responsible for at least 4 goals directly & indirectly by poor clearing attempts multiple times. I, however, was sad to see Zadorov sign with Boston. He was a fan favorite!

  13. Canucks not signing Guentzel for $9mil/season might be a blessing in disguise. If we blew that type of money on one player, we wouldn't have money left to sign solid role players. Signing Guentzel also would mean we can't sign Brock long-term…

  14. DeBrusk, Heinen, Sherwood have one thing in common – all of them are 5on5 CORSI positive players relative to their teammates. That means 5on5 , they're driving the play forward, creating shots toward the opponents net and they do this better than average compared to their teammates.
Players like that on your team mean you dont need to rely on the PDO gods to bless you for 50 games of the season. Sneaky good signings tbh. They'll help us be less pinned in our own zone. no one is talking about this.

  15. If the canucks signed guentzal, they'd be trading boeser by the deadline.

They're literally building a roster around the coach, which is a new approach.

  16. Heinan – Miller – Boeser
    Hoglander – Pettersson – DeBrusk
    Joshua – Suter – Garland
    Podkolzin – Blueger – Sherwood

    Hughes – Soucy
    Hronek – Myers
    Forbert – Desharnais/Juulsen/Friedman

    Silovs

  17. DeBrusk is a wildcard. At worst he’s a 20 goal 40 point guy whose good both ends of the ice and kills penalties. However! He could develop even further like Zach Hyman did with the Oilers. Not saying he’ll score 50, but 30? 35? 55-65 points? That’s certainly doable with Jake’s skillset.

  18. Haven't listened to these guys since the radio days. Glad they're doing well and always enjoy the discussions and analysis.

Alvin surely made some damn good moves in the past few days, from letting guys go to resigning players and today's smart signings, this management deserves high praise!
