Pavelski, Tarasenko, Henrique, Sprong, and our old friend JVR.

And then there’s a pretty steep drop off.

Zadina, Yamamoto, and Kubalik are some “we can fix him” type signings.

Tre is going to convince Robertson to stay, with berubes help. They’re mostly done aside from shipping Timmins, possibly Kampf, and signing or trading dewar depending on what happens with kampf

Finally he gets to play in the playoffs in 2025…right?

  4. AustonDadthews

would love to have henrique in the mix. probably necessitates moving out one or both of kampf and reaves.

Hear me out… Corey Perry… guaranteed cup finals and we both need to break curses.

Brad said there were a few depth signings they were wrapping up in the next few hours, so we should see some names soon. Probably just the yearly AHL signings, but maybe there is a legit 4th line option. The bottom 6 still lacks sand paper and energy

Are they planning to run a whole team of Skinners? I’m intrigued

  8. skinner is awfull defensively. i dont think he’s someone we shouldve targeted

The Ontario born player who scored 24 goals and 51 points past season on his way to a cup final. Can play both center and left wing, which is a perfect fit for the third line.

Kessel is available. Haha just kidding.. unless

Maybe a trade for Ehlers? 1 yr left at 6Mil. Good friends with Nylander actually. Put up 60pts in 81GMs last season.

    • Knies / Matthews / Nylander
    • Ehlers / Domi / Marner
    • Henrique / JT / McMann
    • Dewar / Kampf / Holmberg

?? Yes Jarnkrok, Robo, Timmins are on the outs and maybe picks to see if they can swing the deal?

I’m confused. I thought we don’t have any cap space left.

Henrique is now off the board. Re-signs in edmonton

Our lack of scoring outside of Matthews and Nylander will be our downfall this year unless something big happens. Treliving has done a really poor job at building depth in our roster today. We shouldn’t have our 7th and 8th defence men make a combined 2.5 million, and 4 million tied up in two fourth line players who had 25 points combined last year (and two points in the playoffs).

For the price of Reaves, Kämpf, Timmins, and Benoit (40 points, 2 playoff points, and 6.2 million), the Oilers got Skinner and Henrique (97 points, 7 playoff points, and 6.0 million). Just bad depth cap management.

Where is the space coming from?
