    Okay I was mad at the Vegas trade but after seeing how much cap we went in with, I couldn’t have been more wrong. I’m so fucking excited for October!

    He sucked last year, but this signing makes sense. He had great chemistry here prior to leaving, is cheap, and we need more depth. Hopefully we can return Tatar to form!

    I look at this as see if Tatar or Palat can take a spot in the top 6. If they both cant (which is very possible), we go and get someone at the deadline.

    Tatar-Hischier-Mercer had a great few months together two seasons ago.

    When he was paired with Nico and Mercer they were legitimately one of the best statical lines in the league.

    He has a history of disappearing in the playoffs, but at the end of the day we need to make the playoffs first. Give me this redemption arc.

    I love this. Think losing tuna was a big loss that went under the radar. Not your classic top six player, but I fully believe he made players alongside him play better, and his two way game was excellent.

    He’s not the flashy top 6 winger we wanted, but there’s no denying the chem he had with Hischier and Mercer. Great low risk pickup and just a great guy to have back in that locker room. Damned excited for this season now, don’t know about you guys.

    Should be valuable on the PK even if he regressed over the last year or so and he has chemistry with Nico. Can’t really disagree with this

    We all love Tuna here but we also all know the team needed a true second line winger to bury 30+ pucks and they didn’t get that with Tatar. Given the cap numbers, it would appears as if they are rolling with what they got now or will need to make a trade.

    Wow this is a great signing. Can easily fill our 2nd or 3rd line hole. Good term and AAV too. I like to think that if he does well again for us he would consider signing a longer term deal with the Devils as he’s in the tail end of his career

    I was sad to see him walk ladt season because his agent fucked him over by telling him get term somewhere else… and couldn’t.

    He might not put up crazy numbers, but I like his defensive minded style and his chemistry with Hischer…

    Oh my! Now *this* is a good signing at a great price! I thought he was a priority re-signing last year, but wasn’t complaining when we picked up Toffoli instead. I’m pretty happy to have him back in Jersey!

    All this time spent complaining about top 6 Palat and now we get top 6 Tatar. Hopefully this is a stop gap. Don’t know why Fitz couldn’t just wait for a trade.

    This move really only makes sense if Fitz is prioritizing signing Mercer to a long term deal which cap space then becomes an issue. If not then better players could have been had for a little more $

    Good two way player. Good teammate. Works hard and can be used on a checking line or in the top 6. I didn’t follow either team he played for the last two years. Anyone have any clues why his games played were so limited?

    Ima dumbass he played over 70 games for two last year. Ignore my dumbassery.

    I like this. Good guy to fill in this year. He plays well with Nico and Mercer. Let them play together again and Bratt jack and Timo play together. Noesen haula Palat will be a nice physical line as well
