Don’t know a lot about him. Puts up 25ish points in the AHL and not a whole lot of experience in the NHL. 6 foot tall and left shot. Looks like a depth/Marlies signing to me.
Played in 47 games (most games he’s ever played in the NHL over his career so far) and put up 3 goals, 5 assists, 8 points for the Wild last year.
Get your Mermis Jersey’s while they are hot.
I don’t trust Simmonds but it is a little interesting Mermis is on the active roster along with all the other FA they signed but still no Hakanpaa or an official announcement of his signing.
Edit: I will add Simmonds just tweeted (it popped up on my timeline I don’t follow him lol) and said he reached out to the Leafs and said there doctors cleared him to sign which shows they did sign him
