Fun Fact: All four teams in the conference finals this past year had a player who was bought out buy another team either before signing there (OEL, Perry, Duchene, Wheeler). A great way to get up on the salary cap is to have another team pay most of a players salary.

Was definitely a top 6 guy at one point in his career but we’re not in 2018 anymore so I’d imagine this is a depth signing for the bottom 6.

There are a number of better players and we choose to sign the 5’9 35 year old who just got bought out, cool. Love you JBB, can’t wait to watch this team get absolutely ragdolled because we have absolutely zero muscle or size.

Staple him to a good defensive player like Cirelli and he might be able to be a useful member of the top 6 at best and can be buried in the minors at worst. Nice risk-free pickup

249 goals in 770 games, mostly on some pretty bad CBJ teams. Not bad at the price but also 35 years old. Still a pretty good signing and could play on PP1 for less than $1 mil. Still need a few more players with hopefully more of an impact if possible with the ~$6 million. I’d imagine JBB will use every penny.
I really like Zemgus and Atkinson for $1.75 mil. Hopefully JBB has the framework for JJ Moser and has his targets on RHD and middle 6 F now.

What a strange off season. I actually like the gamble. Let’s see who shows up? If we get anything close to the Atkinson who was part of our embarrassment then it’s a home run.
