  1. 4th line winger or 13th forward material

6 goals in 69 (nice) games with Tampa playing 12 min a night

  2. Looks like we found our replacement for ZAR! And he’s Michigan based like half our team!

  3. ChildishTheGOAT

He’s from St Clair, MI. Another Michigander.

  4. duelingdog

Now the free agency picture is truly complete.

  5. Affectionate-Scar-63

I’ll believe the « it’s time for the young guys!!!! » stuff when Yzerman stops signing these bottom 6 depth guys.

I’m seeing Bolts fans lament not re-signing him, so I’ll take it 🫡

  7. Keyster19

Good defensive minded forward. Works hard and is a PK specialist.

Let’s go! So psyched to have someone who grew up near where I did on the team. Been a fan of his since he made the NHL. Even if he’s not a regular it’ll be so cool to see him wearing the Winged Wheel.

  9. Call-Me-Willis

Now get Kyle Connor and reunite the CCM line.

Never gonna set the world on fire but I love this guy.

Defensively responsible 4th line option, might get claimed on waivers but oh well.

Would prefer to leave at least one spot open for a prospect to grab, I get having to beat out guys but sometimes you just gotta give the kids the reins and see who can take them.

  11. CanITakeASip

This is our 4th forward from the 2014-2015 U of M team. Pretty wild

  12. Blagurtha

Even though he was already signed my brain skipped a beat when I saw the first name Tyler lmao

  13. KJTheDayTrader

Tyler Motte is a good signing but I’m still waiting for Steve to do something substantial

  14. Great motor and will play 4th line minutes. Good addition, think a better Adam Ernie

  15. MeshuGojira

He did really good for my fantasy team like 2 years ago. AMA.

  16. Direction_Asleep

Sprong replacement but he’s the opposite player. Defense first. I like it. We can afford to give up some offense on the bottom 6. Especially with bergrren coming in who’s definitely an offense first guy, this is a good move to balance the lines. I’m not worried about losing the 15-20 goals from sprong. 9th in goals scored and 24 in goals allowed, clearly we need to be a more stingy team defensively. Sprong was scratched at the end of last year despite scoring a lot of goals per minute but was a complete liability defensively.

One of the great, high motor, 4th liners in the league. Can’t-miss signing for the price.

If DET makes the playoffs, he’ll be an impact depth guy.

If they’re sellers at the deadline, he’ll net a 4th round pick from a contender.

  18. Legendary__Beaver

An ideal 4th liner that can play a lot when needed

  19. Slow_Significance329

A defensive bottom 6 forward. Isn’t that what Rasmussen is for us?

  20. Constant_Inside_3105

We’re getting to the point where if you have any Michigan connection you will eventually become a Wing. Had a layover at DTW? 2 year contract.

  21. SomePizzaShit

LETS GOOO THE MOTTER HIMSELF I LOVE THIS SIGNING I LOVE TYLER MOTTE

  22. There is the 12th forward

High energy defensive guy who can’t score
