How can anyone “guarantee” that Kevyn Adams will actually be able to make any trade for a top 6 forward? The man is starting his 5th off season as Sabres GM and the only top 6 forward he’s traded for was Alex Tuch. Of course he needed to trade Jack Eichel to get him. I’ll believe it when I see it.
San Jose is happy to be the dumping ground for guys like Jeff Skinner.
I’ve been a Sabres fan since 1970. I’m so tired of seeing the Sabres’ coaches and GM ruin players and as soon as they leave Buffalo, win the cup with a different team. We had the French Connection, Mogilny, Lafontaine, Hasek, Miller, Briere, Drury, Eichel, Reinhardt, the list goes on and on. The latest promising players we ruined are Olofsun and Skinner. The only other franchise more inept is the Leafs.
Skinner should waive his NMC so he can be paid 9 million next year. He certainly wont get 9 million if hes bought out and becomes UFA.
Sorry but I also disagree with you two when you said theres no way Adams uses all 3 picks in the first two rounds. I have a bad feeling that Adams wont be ableto trade any of his 9 picks at this weekends draft .
I wouldn't be in a hurry to vanish skinny. 3rd liner, injuries, and can be moved up and down the line up. If skinny leaves, get something for him, anything…. To get no return, Why? 3rd line threat, cap not an issue…..GET SOME VALUE BACK FOR SKINNER IF HES GONE. ps, Adams And Ruff, What A Combo Baby!!
Adams turned one 1st rounder (with equal value) into 1st+2nd rounder. This was a really good trade for the Sabres especially if we’re using these picks in trades for players who can help us now. The problem is last time we traded a 2nd rounder we got Greenway who hasn’t improved us anything. We got worse since that trade.
