As ever it is outrageous that it took this long for it to occur. Shameful. Just to keep in perspective the work still needed to rectify fully.
I saw her at a preseason game and a dev camp, I’m excited to see what she does with Bylsma up here

I can’t believe it took so long for the PWHL to come along, but my god has it just been amazing and it’s just a gift that keeps on giving now that even the NHL is convinced over how well women can play and know the game.
It’s long overdue and I hope she’s far from the last. The boys club needs a serious shake up and this is a good start.
After watching the development and play of the Firebirds, this is a good move. May have been an even better move to make her head coach in the AHL, but what do I know. Good for her.

Pretty cool. Important step for hockey and the NHL. It shouldn’t matter that a woman coaches a pro hockey team, if she’s got what it takes, that’s all that matters.
