Faksa becomes our 4C/PK specialist, and Joseph is a bottom 6 energy guy.
There’s not much upside here, but we got them for free and we keep the powder dry for Steen when he inherits the crown.

I guess this isn’t a bad deal. Hayes and a 2nd round pick to Pittsburgh for Faksa, Joseph and a 3rd round pick from Ottawa.

I’ll be sad to see Future Considerations go. He has a bright future ahead of him.

So the blues traded away Hayes and traded for 2 of him or at least what the fans were told Hayes would be last year…
These are guys that should have been call ups from Springfield not salary cap hits…

Solid depth pick ups. We might now have too many players for number of spots though. Hopefully this doesn’t mean Buch will be traded away. Might make Saad tradable though.
EDIT: LOL – checked twitter right after I posted this and saw the Buch signing. Happy he is staying.

Pretty happy with this. Won’t make us contenders by any means, but we should be harder to play against now. Less soft and one dimensional.

Joseph pickup is definitely worth it since they gave us a pick but we should’ve never gave Dallas 3.25MIL of cap for free

I love this. 2 good solid bottom 6 guys who can play defensive minutes. allow young guys to play the second line role and grow into it with good matchups. Weren’t gonna spend the money anyway.

Man, we’re giving up a lot of bags of pucks and water bottles carriers. Armstrong really going from that “roster depth” vibe

I see a lot of people commenting as though injuries aren’t a virtual guarantee throughout the year… having depth to fall back on in that inevitability isn’t a bad thing, IMO.
