   1. Please disregard the 24 players, im sure one of them would be waived here to get us to limit.

   2. I tried to ballpark contract estimates for Drury, Jarvis, and Roslovic, these should not be the talking points here

   In a league where a team cannot have too many centers, we have too many centers.

   Something has to move here, even if you want to bring Necas back, which I think is pretty unlikely. And almost all reports saying we’d require some kind of NHL caliber player back, so we’d have to clear cap space and a roster spot on that front too.

   My notes:

   1. Keep an eye and ear out on KK and/or Drury. Aho, Staal, and Kuzy are locks, and Suzuki can just be waived without too much regard.

   2. We’ve heard next to nothing on Fast’s injury status, but considering he was in a neck brace on May 23, it’s fair to wonder what his status is for the training camp and the start of the season. Roslovic slides in easly as a replacement for him, but that still leaves a spot open on the right wing, unless one considers a rookiee or Lemieux stepping into that role.

   The number one struggle within the analytics community is undervaluing primary point production given how it doesn’t perform well in models due to high variance given low sample sizes (oh my god this got super wordy)

   Um my point all told:

   Tulsky may be undervaluing Sprong who is the overwhelmingly obvious fit for this roster, with lots of substance but lacking depth scoring

   So I hope, especially as days go by

   That he gets in gear

   “Doesn’t feel right”? Ya think? We signed 5 or 6 bottom 6/bench player (on some teams) forwards to play productive minutes. Our only hope for this season is if the Necas trade brings back a LEGITIMATE top 6 guy for our 2nd line but it probably won’t bc A) we overvalued him and B) we have no leverage in negotiations.

   Not trying to sound like a downer but just being objective.
