    Bye bye ish. And do you blame ishkatov for bolting to khl? Louzer tendered him a contract so he couldn't sign with another nhl team. So why should he re-sign just to get banned to ahl again? One nhl game, 1 pt. He leaves nhl as a ppg player and would have produced more than useless 18. Good luck in khl ruslan. And ahl b'port lost their top scorer. B'port better hope gill can produce for them. And isles system drafting/development will always be weak under this nincompoop gm. Ish another pick that went to waste. Even with the 'gift pick' eiserman isles system is still in bottom three.
    And patty lafontaine was a great isle and american born player. I still don't know how bow tie pulled off that '81 deal that got lafontaine to isles. Coming off of a fourth straight cup isles sat there with the 3rd pick in '83 draft with lafontaine passed over by north stars and whale was just sitting there for bow tie to grab. The guy lafontaine was traded for sneaky pete-his brother went just before lafontaine at two. Lawton the player agent went one. And the '83 draft was one of the best ever. Yzerman, barasso. isle coach maclean, neely all in '83 draft first round. Pens would have had the top pick but traded it away pre-mario tank job season. The plan was already underway

    Happy 4th Gil! More sad news. One step forward two steps back for this team. Sad that this was one of the greats teams in organized sports in the 80’s and now since the 90’s have been one of the worst and haven’t recovered from 1985.

There has been way too many draft picks that haven’t progressed and that has to do with the minor and major teams coaching. Young people are gonna make mistakes and punishing them doesn’t teach them it makes them afraid on the ice and hesitant. Imagine punishing a child when they get things wrong on a test instead of teaching? There’s so many of these and like you said they go on another team they grow, or they are ruined mentally. If I was a young player I would pull a lindros I’d refuse to play on the island

    You said how many Guys, exactly Gil, Rookie’s coming up need way more chances than the Islanders give them, every thing in life is learning from your mistakes, the kids are not given a chance on the islanders, thank you Gil !!!
