Insane overpay but it’s for 1 year. I can’t lie I am extremely worried about how he fits in our lineup because he made Byram and Power both a lot worse playing with them.

You guys realize Byram and Jokiharju had like the highest goals against per 60 in history right

  2. Good deal, prefer giving him one more year, than trading away for 3rd or something. 1 year deal does not hurt the future

Kevyn Adams knows he’s allowed to negotiate with teams and players, right? He doesn’t have to say yes to the first offer made?

I know some folks are more down on Jok but [he’s AOK](https://ibb.co/bssF798) in some models, like the Athletic’s.

Also curious to see how he continues to progress given his age curve and pedigree. Forsling was put on waivers by Carolina at the exact same age as Jok now and a couple years later he found his footing.

(Not projecting Jok becomes Forsling of course lol. Just noting that sometimes players, especially D, take a long time to develop).

Cool. Glad to see him only signed for a year, may still end up as part of a trade since he doesn’t have an obvious fit in the lineup although in a vacuum he’s a good option for your 3rd pair

This might be a hot take but I like the idea of Bryson – Clifton more than I do Clifton – Jokiharju

Joker was brilliant in the first half of last season, but had a rough second half. Feels like a light overpay, but if this is a « show me » year, it’s all good.

    Another 1 year deal.

When do we find out the teams up for sale?

UPL and Malenstyn filed for arbitration

  9. Then I think we have our 2024-25 Sabres:

    Peterka – Thompson – Tuch

    Benson – Cozens – Quinn

    Zucker – McLeod – Greenway

    Malenstyn – Krebs – Lafferty

    Aubé-Kubel

    Byram – Dahlin

    Power – Jokiharju

    Samuelsson – Clifton

    Gilbert, Bryson

    Luukkonen

    Levi

    Reimer

Should have over $6M left after signing the remaining RFAs, so can always add some more players to improve the depth, but this looks about done.
