Good. I want that rookie year training camp Petey back where he was outskating everyone during their bag skate and started the season with 10 goals in 10 games. That was very promising, and it seems once he got comfortable, he stopped working as hard. Obviously, I’m way on the outside, but that’s what it seems like from my vantage point. I want the hungry Petey back that won’t settle for 2nd best. We get that Petey and everyone else in the league should be scared.

Dude has all the tools to be a dominant centre in the playoffs, especially a dominant 2C in the playoffs.

He should have destroyed Edmonton and Nashville in his minutes and he just didn’t. We shouldn’t have even needed Lindholm. Very disappointing.

  3. Injured or not, his IDGAF playoff performance was brutal to watch.

  4. Why is good coaching an “uh oh”?

I could see this being an issue if he hadn’t re-signed yet, but he’s he for the next 8 years.

  5. Now that Petey has his contract and the team is a legit contender, there truly are no more excuses. Fml I’m so pumped and we have to wait so long for the season to start.

Someone on twitter said it a month ago, must be true.

Uh oh, what exactly? Rick Tocchet has had no problem challenging his top players. I get Pettersson had injuries, but he’s better than what he showed in the playoffs. I expect a very motivated Pettersson this season. He’s a lot better than what he showed in the playoffs. I think an off season of rest will do him a lot of good.

    Why “uh oh”?

Pettersson has said he likes to be challenged

Tocc said he’s likes to challenge his players.

This is a good thing all around.

Also, who the hell is JABO Vancouver?

I’m glad tochett has done this. We all know how close this team could have been to the Stanley cup finals if Petey found a way to turn it up a notch through his injury.

I’m not saying Petey needed to make his injury worse, but there were definitely moments where he didn’t even backcheck.

OP your title is a fail. There’s nothing uh oh about this.

  11. DistractedPanda

He needs this talk. His performance was shockingly bad when we know he can do better. This team has the potential to win the cup with the changes they’re making if they develop these players and sometimes it involves some tough love.

I think twitter really can make situations hyperbolic. Peteys confidence was shook from not being able to dominate when it started to get harder. He reacted the way most young men do in these situations. Fact is he is a super competitive guy and is always going to work his ass off to try and be the best. Just cause petey came flying out of the gates in the league doesn’t mean there isn’t room for the fanbase to patient with him. Having said that we better win the fucking cup this year petey and anything less than a conn smythe and you are clearly a bust, should have picked cody glass

Uhm… this is old news. That tweet is from 1 month ago.

Trying to stir up the Pettersson haters. They’re coming out of the woodworks, judging from the responses.

Or just trying to get attention? It’s summer, go get a life.

Oh, and if you’re going to reference a tweet, put the actual link, not a screenshot. You’re wasting people’s time.
