  1. KC – dude, c'mon. Savoie is a great prospect, yes. BUT, he's a prospect. He couldn't even crack the Sabres' lineup, and now you expect him to play 3C on a Stanley Cup contender?

  2. It wasn’t that surprising. McLeod didn’t really fit into the new lineup and Edmonton needed the cap space. Now they need to sort out the D

  3. I love this trade.

A lot of Sabres fans are gonna disagree, I don’t care, KA went out and got a piece we’ve been sorely missing at the price of a prospect we can no longer afford to develop. The time to win is now, Kulich and Helenius will be studs for us in the future. We don’t need another blue chipper or top 6 foward or 1st round pick. We need guys to come in and contribute.

We all wanna scream “win now” until we make a move to win now. One in the hand is better than two in the bush.

  4. He will not be 3rd line center. You’re delusional if you think he takes Henriques spot on the 3rd line with brown and Janmark.

  5. Savoie aint making the lineup this up coming season unless theres an injury. If he doesnt crack the Sabres lineup he wont with Oilers lol.

  6. Skinner is one of the slowest guys in the league. The Oilers got slower.

Savoie has been hurt for portions of the last 2 seasons junior. No chance he plays the whole season in the nhl this season.

  7. He definitely not cracking open day lineup. To many good players he will play on farm team and if he does well maybe be called up if injuries or later on season if resting players for the playoffs

  8. Where’s KC from? Sorry, first time watching your page…don’t take offense, I’m a Newfie transplant in Edmonton

  9. Savoie won’t be playing in the NHL, 1C in the AHL.

KC is out to lunch on this one.

Great video- but slow the tires 😂 this is a depth deal.

  10. Sabres need to win now or else everyone is losing their jobs next offseason so it makes sense. MacLeod is basically replacing Mittelstadt

  11. KC slow down. The dude is 20 with 1 game in the nhl and 6 games in the AHL. Love that he’s an oiler, he def is going to be something way better than what clouded would’ve been.

  12. as an Oilers fan I'M SO HAPPY!!!!!!!!YAASSSSSSSSS BUFFALO TAKE THIS NON SCORING, NON PUCK BATTLE WINNING, NON DOING ANYTHING SOFT STICK OF BUTTER BUFFALO BUTTER STICK MCLEOD WOOO HOOOOOO !!!!!!!!! ONLY OILERS FANS KNOW THE PAIN OF WATCHING MCLEOD!!!!!!!! 🥳🥳🥳🤠🤠🤠

  13. Savoie may not even get to the NHL this year. Again. He's not first nor second, and possibly not even third in the Sabre's taltent pool. Redundant to the Sabres, who needed a 3rd line center with faceoff and PK skills who can skate and shift to wing sometimes. Only 24. Big. Sabres had enough weebles. As Savoie gets to come home, so does McLeod to Mississauga.

  14. As a Sabres fan I love this. I love the oilers so much I watched every game last year and now I might have to get me a savioe jersey now

  15. Trading a player with much higher potential but lower NHL surety for a player with a lower ceiling but is an NHL lock. It makes complete sense for the Oilers on many fronts, and makes sense if the Sabres think he could turn into a ~40-50 point 2-Way center and PK specialist.

  16. Oilers fans were talking about being lucky to get a late 2nd round pick for Mcleod, so trust me when I say we're all ecstatic to get Savoie for him. We all knew Mcleod was probably the odd man out due to cap constraints, so couldn't be happier. Now upgrade on Ceci and we're off to the races. As far as where Savoie starts, he'll be playing heavy minutes in the AHL next season. Possibly a black ace callup after the trade deadline.

  17. Savoi's offence translated to the AHL in a small sample size. That is huge. His developement has up arrows so far.

  18. He will probably play in Bakersfield all year and best case scenario he replaces Skinner after Skinner leaves.

  19. I would use the word infuriating to describe McLeod. Never did anything with his speed and zone entrys because he cant make a play. Shot isnt good enough to score from distance and he never drives to the net.Weak in corners. Everything is a fly by. His defense numbers are inflated because he doesnt forecheck.

  20. Maybe this is all part of a larger deal for Mitch Marner?? Buffalo still has $13 million in salary cap to spend & not many teams have cap space to sign a Marner deal. Toronto is going to want some NHL ready players included in any Marner trade. Maybe McLoud is just one piece of what it takes to bring Mitch Marner to Buffalo.

If this isn’t part of some larger trade Buffalo is crafting then their GM is nuts. McLoud was a salary dump. He permanently lost his 3rd line position after 3yrs of trying to hold it. We weren’t expecting anything in return except take his salary off our books. So if this isn’t part of some larger trade in the near future then Adams just gave away a top prospect for nothing.

  21. Mcleod is a good pick up for Buffalo, he's young, his contract is good. he plays hard. Mcleod was very good in the Stanley Cup Finals, that's what matters. The prospect being traded is just that " a prospect that may be a bust" Good trade Buffalo, you got a proven Stanley Cup player. Read what the Buffalo analytics were on Mcleod, it's very good. I see why they made this trade.

  22. Savoie is an excellent prospect. But lets settle down on the points in the whl last year hes a d+2 20 year old playing junior

  23. Sabres can afford to overpay for a need and McLeod is low key a strong player. Its a good trade for both teams
