It’s a crime against an entire country to choose a goalie not from Finland to be on this team. If the choice exists, we must always choose Finland.

I love our boy Lanky but I do like Wedgewood’s helmets: TMNT, Mario Kart, etc. Curious to see his Nashville buckets!

Does anyone know where Lanky is now? I haven’t heard anything about him signing but he’s a UFA, right?

Nashville is the goalie factory.
They have always had great coaching and scouting and in the past have played a game that benefits goalie play.
If they think Wedgewood is a good signing, chances are it will work out.
The two are similar. The difference is Lankinen has been in the system for two years. He probably has reaped the benefits from being in Nashville and Lankinen will probably cost more.
He’s a great backup and has played so well, it’s hard to expect more frim him. He hits free agency at the peak time for his career.
I was actually shocked no team traded for him the past two years. He’s a guy that constantly took hard road starts and did not need to play much to be sharp and keep you in tough games. Being a backup G is different that handling a starter’s load and Lankinen is a great backup G.
Wedgewood will probably be similar stats wise and might even kick it up a level. So as good as Lankinen was, this might work out better.
