1. I thought The eichel trade was terrible when it happened and it still is, we got back a top 6 guy who’s injury prone and a crappy prospect who was never valuable imo

  2. I agree with your/listeners 4 lines and thats how i hope the Sabres will start the season .
Greenway is a good PK and he will definitely be asked to be more physical under Ruff. Hes in a contract year so it might be best to keep him at least until the trade deadline .
Agreed Krebs will be a spare forward unless hes traded and sorry i cant see a Philly taking Krebs and Jokiharju for Farabee because they are looking to dump salary as they are over the cap .

  3. I would allow Ruff a chance to revive Krebs. There is definitely some talent there but there is something missing and maybe Lindy can get it out Peyton.

  4. For a while I thought we would be shopping for a top 6 forward, but now I think they may keep Peterka there, move Benson to 2nd line and use the signings/trades to fill in the rest. They could keep Krebs (unless there is a deal you can't pass up) as his QO was just under $900k. So its not much to remove. Sign him on a single year unless he can do 3 years at just under 1mil (so he can be traded off with a contract) if he cannot improve in this year.

  5. Love what rhey have done.. added toughness and speed. We will be very hard to olay against. Would be nice to add a Physical D man and still a top 6 forward. If we cant get that top 6 forward in a trade i can live with it for now.

  6. Joel Farabee isn't a Torts guy!?
Torts benched him for nearly an entire game against NJ last December because he "doesn't listen".
That's why he's rumored to be on the trade market.
Despite that fact, he's an ideal Top 6 target who checks the
    "wants to be here" box.
He's 50pt contributor and proven NHL'er with 300+ games played.
If he's paired with the right skill players, he could potentially tally 60-70 PTS.
He turned 24 in February and is signed thru 2027 for a $5M cap hit.
Adams should unload Krebs along with whatever spare parts from Rochester necessary to make a deal for a former 14th overall pick.
Then Lindy Ruff can work on getting thru to a player who tallies 50pts and "doesn't listen."

  7. I don't see it in krebs, maybe Vegas did too in letting him go. Do any of the Rochester players have the grit we need when they come up ?

  8. Savoie was going to be in the top 6 this year. This will go down as an all time worse trade in hockey. We go a 12 goal guy as his best season. Someone fire Adams before it gets any worse. This has Tim Murray disaster written all over it ( see trading 1st round pick for Robin Lehner ) Another disappointment!

  9. Talking about Giving up on guys like Krebs and Greenway makes me revisit the Eichel trade. Tuch is fantastic, but other than that it doesn’t look too good right now. I never liked Krebs.

  10. I am putting McLeod my 2nd line center. With Cozens & Quinn or Tuch and move Quinn up with Thompson. Not wasting all his speed and face off winning % to play with Benson & Greenway. Plus Cozens played much better on the wing during the IIHF tournament. This team has to be ready to win game 1.

  11. Greenway may be slow but not all goals are scored off the rush. At some point, the cycle game has to come into play. Greeny has a big body so he can shield the puck on the walls. He was also an effective penalty killer last season – he can find a place in this lineup despite all of the new editions.

  12. Foerster-Couturier-Konecny
    Tippett-Frost-(Michkov?)
    Farabee-Laughton-Brink
    Cates-Poehling-Hathaway

That’s the projected lineup according to Daily Faceoff. The flyers probably know they’re no cup favorites, let’s be honest. They probably out performed expectations. Unless they REALLY just want to tank, then I don’t see them accepting that Krebs trade proposal of yours.

Despite playing 16 mins of time on ice, he finished 3rd on the team in scoring. His time probably jumps right back up to 17 mins a night next season. What if Michkov isn’t quite ready? Then he probably gets that 2nd line spot. He’s gonna get pretty decent PP time too.

My point is- I don’t think they see Krebs as any must get because you’re not getting any sort of upgrade if you’re Philly. Krebs probably finds himself in a similar role with less offensive ability proven. And especially- Henri Jokiharju is not any real upgrade compared to what they have.

You have a decent idea, but the fit isn’t quite there yet. Philly probably continues to hold onto Farabee for now because he has a pretty good role on the team already. Especially if Michkov has his rookie struggles.

  13. 1 idea I had for a Krebs swap (in the future) would be the Seattle Kraken. I do see Yanni Gourde and Brandon Tanev are 2 guys expiring after the season….just an idea there.

Some sort of Krebs for Gourde swap would allow them to develop Wright in a top 9 role after they just signed Stephenson….Gourde can play both center and wing. Krebs would likely continue to just be a bottom 6 fwd in Seattle though so I think Buffalo would add a tad more…good buy low options out of Seattle. Acquire a Gourde/Tanev and just stay patient with Benson becoming a top 6 fwd. Gourde/Tanev would be quality top 9 place holders for a couple of seasons.

  14. I don't think Adam's would admit he made a mistake in the Eichel trade if he trades Krebs. I think it would be the nail in his coffin especially if they trade him and he takes off.

  15. Please do a future show on defensive pairings for 2024 -25 and I'm really confused about our goalie situation. UPK or Levi the future 1 tender between the pipes ?!?! Also who might stick around with us to develop and make the club and be around long term (if anyone) ? Scott Ratz, Topias and or Ryerson Lionoen
