I’d love kakko here. He is young, good, and hasn’t really been given a good chance in that ranger team.

Kakko seems like the type of guy who needs a better opportunity and a fresh start. Just not sure about the opportunity considering how many wingers we have not even counting Coronato and Pelletier

  3. That’s a fine target but .. for what? I wouldn’t want to give up picks or prospects for him so… Coleman?

  4. Kakko gives me the same vibes as Sharky, a player on a loaded roster that was never given a fair shot and given top-line minutes but showed his potential and skill in flashes

  5. I just wouldn’t want us to give much away for him. Especially not any of our prospects or draft picks.

I don’t see it. If we weren’t interested in Holtz as a reclamation project I have a hard time seeing us interested in Kakko. At least not until closer to the deadline when we sell off our remaining UFA wingers, right now we just don’t have roster spots for guys that aren’t waiver exempt. If I’m targeting a rec project it’s a center like Kotkaniemi

  7. I like it if we can do it for decently cheap, I wouldn’t wanna give too many draft picks but maybe if we can buy decently low then do it

It’d be awesome to see him score on Kaapo Kahkonen when we play the Jets.

I think any Kakko deal involving Kadri would have to include another prospect or a decent pick as well. I still can’t believe the flames and a few other teams passed up on Gabe Perreault in the 23 draft but if we could get Kakko and Perreault for Kadri I would seriously consider retaining a mill or two. Not sure if the value would be even or not but it would certainly help the rangers and the flames. Win-win. Thoughts?

Man I dunno, I was kinda rooting for the Rangers during this last playoffs so I watched closely every single game of theirs and Kakko was noticeably bad. Not sure if his confidence is just shot but he made so many questionable decisions on the ice and was just a total liability.
