   I think a 4141 formation with Huggy playing LB underutilizes his unique strengths. Any Canucks lineup should prominently feature his speed, agility, and vision.

   Millsy (LM) – Petey (CM) – Garly (RM)

   Hughes (DM) – Hronek (DM)

   Soucy – Desharnais – Myers

   The lineup posted by OP wouldn’t work in soccer. How can Blueger be the link between defenders and mids? And how can you have a poacher like Boeser as the sole striker?

   This is fun! But I don’t think 4141 is the go, too much defence. Maybe something like this

   Boeser – Miller – Peterson

   Joshua – Hughes – Suter – Garland

   Soucy – Myers – Horonek

   In soccer a guy like Hughes would definitely be a controlling midfielder

   You use him like Modrić, not on defense

    Love this as a soccer fan! Having Quinn and Hronek at full-back won’t do much for their strengths. I’d possibly switch to a 3-4-3 that looked like this:

    Soucy, Hughes, Hronek
    DeBrusk, Blueger, Joshua, Garland
    Pettersson (LW), Boeser (CF), Miller (RW)

    Keep Petey and Millsy close to Brock and watch the goals fly in

    Honestly with our team I’d go crazy and have 3 at the back like a 3-4-2-1.

    a 4-5-1 with this team is horrible.. should move to a 4-3-3 with boes as a trequartista, with hronek and hughes roving up and down the wings. petey and debrusk the other strikers. garland and joshua (not blueger) playing either side of miller as the CF, cause he likely has the highest hockey iq of the attacking players.

    hughes as a wingback basically means hes gonna be up and down the entire side of the field.
