Ironically, I wondered the same thing recently after getting tired of Jack Edwards. From my search, he continues to have a Boston afternoon radio sports talk show that he co-hosts. I would love to find out why he is out …. I certainly enjoyed him.
Dont Hate… By the way did you know his ageent visited Maple Leafs practice facilty in Toronto, after this he went and talked about contracts dont hate it the truth
Thanks for the update. I don't think his agent would be doing his job if he wasn't visiting potential employers. With Sturm returning and rookies having no slots to fill in training camp, the Bruins must feel they don't need to move salary to retain Kessel. I was always concerned with how easily Kessel was hit – as his injuries revealed at the end of the season proved it. Perhaps Boston presumes this and see his value never being higher than it is now. It's all just words. Time will tell.
I wish him well. I followed his amateur career and was excited when he was still available for the Bruins to draft. I feel Boston let him go because (for the price) he couldn't / wouldn't play two ways (Julien rode him) and made the highlights for being hit (hence the injuries), but hopefully his game will grow and put him at the top of the league – ala Thornton.
Maybe not …. "old school" Burke just sent him back to the Knights and not the Marlies. That's too bad. Yes, I saw ALOT of him in highlights from the preseason and enjoyed.
For me the Bruins fans are still bitter over this trade, yes they got Seguin but Kessel has scored 30 goals in every season. He is now playing the two way game and also a great playmaker, it was just patience that is all the Bruins needed. Juilen did not have the paitence to develop this kid so they gave up got the picks but I tell you they would love to have those 30 goals !
And now the Leafs robbed them of Joe Colborne and with irony a first round pick for a Kabs who is weak at the back
@CrazyCleatus420 no kessels a 30+ goal scorer with a shitty center. he makes his own offense a lot of the times. i being a bruins fan and 50/50 on kessel have always thought he will def give the leafs 10-15 yrs of 25-45 goal season when healthy. id say 35+ with good line mates and an effective PP. i think he has 30, 32 & 36 goals the last 3yrs. but id rather seguin and hamilton. but u stole joel colborne from us who could be a nice player
@AOrloffTV Ummm … he's got a ring and his name on the Cup. Isn't that the objective? How many goals did Kessel and Hall get in the playoffs? {grins} Tyler had a few at critical times so he's earned it. Kessel has learned his two-way game so he should get his ring some day too … once he's traded to another team {ouch!}
@AOrloffTV Boston: 65% are from Canada … and I believe the chant (born at the '80 Olympics) is for team pride, not players' birthplace. Leafs will come out on top for Kaberle, but jury is out on Kessel.
@PlzDuntBanMe Well, congrats on that and Kessel's on a hot streak! … so what's the name of that trophy you get for being in 1st one seventh of the way through the season???
I tried to keep things technical, @PlzDuntBanMe, but you made it personal with your "bitch" comment and Karma has come around … so after tonight's game (Kessel 0, TMLs 0, Seguin 3, Bruins 7) that makes you the receiver post game, correct?
@AOrloffTV – I do not understand where this comes from: Bruins are 2-0 this year outscoring 13-2, and are 19-5-5 in recent years. I guess it's true that you can write anything on the internet, but the numbers don't support the claim.

It would be nice to see another season of healthy goal production …. but a prerequisite would be a good playmaker like Savard.

Can't wait till he's good to play 🙂
lol, i remember those pads. ahahah MA wtf where you thinkin. Look like giant freakin banana's
hahah bruins have the first pick for him….ill take the first pick for kessel anyday….taylor hall or tyler seguin cant wait hahah maple leafs
kessel will never be more than a 70 point guy and he cant play defense
@NYPuckster and what sucks for the B's now is that they now need a young speedy goal-scoring winger. They are loaded down the middle.
@murdock2727 You can tell this comment is 2 years old because Crosby is the most respected player in the NHL right now and the best player in the NHL.

@Ayyoub94 – with Seguin getting a ring for the Bruins, I don't think so … LOL!!!
