Edmundson is the only one lm disappointed they didn't re-sign. I think the Leafs did alright so far, but l think they have a couole moves coming this summer still. Thanks for the vid

get you to the playoffs but the big three cannot get it done over and over. Don't think goalie problem resolved yet, we'll see. Sad Edmundson gone too. It is good the leafs are making
moves, had to be a shake up and to keep a positive note the leafs still look good.

Brenden Shanahan has built a perennial playoff loser. The core four doesn't work and that hasn't changed. Here is hoping I'm wrong this year.
The team is worse than it was while spending an extra 5$ million dollars. Last year they started with tyler Bertuzzi Auston matthews mitch marner then matthew knies john tavares william nylander then nick robertson, max domi, calle jarnkrok and finally sam lafferty david kampf ryan reaves. the defence was morgan rielly, timothy liljegren then john klingberg, jake maccabe, mark giordano and tj brodie with connor timmins. goaltending was samsonov, woll, jones and murray.
this year we see knies, matthews, marner then mcmann tavares nylander followed by jarnkrok, domi holmberg and kampf reaves dewar

Losing Bert, the Leafs lose in forward grit and point production. We slightly gained in the defensive aspect and well Stolarz is slightly better than Samsonov. Rolling back with the core 4 is a huge mistake so I predict a 3rd place in the division ending the regular season and 1st round exit in the playoffs to either Boston, Tampa or Florida.

nobody in the league was signing domi , how quick people forget he has already played for a 3rd of the league, tanev isnt as good as edmundson is and he is 5 years older , didnt the leafs go through this with gio already, they didnt better they got older and a lot more slower, tanev isnt a winner look at his years in calgary

Good summary. No need for a Marner video…what’s the purpose in speculation. Leafs remain “mid” and will provide lots of in season excitement but not much beyond that.

Very good appraisal…i like how you contextualized the FA signings with the cap space that the GM had to work with…and the meed to improve the Defence first and foremost…giving him a B+ is a fair and positive assessment. Id like to see the GM take a fast-slow approach in keeping the Leafs as highly competitive as possible…working with the obvious constraints upon the team(eg. lack of cap space, prospects and draft picks) …and hopefully re-tooling on the go short term while seeking to gain more assets to use both short term and long term. And i like what he and his ream have done so far. I would be interested in hearing your opinion on this subject, if you were so inclined(ie. how to improve the team aqap without bankrupting our prospect and draft pick pool…in other words, growing and managing team assets going forward).

The only inconsistances Samsonov had was the team in front of him. So many games they came out flat and had to play catch up hockey only for it to be too little too late. Until this team plays a solid defensive game no goaltender is gonna look good. Hopefully Berube can get this team to think defense first. B+ is a good grade.
